Aspros, 28 Apr 2017With all due respect to the Note 4, trully one of the best phones ever made, the S7 edge is be... moreBattery wise it's not even in the same ball park. Note 4 is/was one of the few 3000+ phones with removable battery ever released.
Basically it means that you double the capacity by carrying a spare.
Or if you don't want to, having the capacity to use high quality aftermarket batteries (5000-10000 mah)
Also 60 seconds charge time (charge a spare whilst using the phone).
It's basically why Samsung phones lost big part of the pro crowd (lost the removable batt).
One handed use is more determined by screen size. Their screens are both phablet sized so none really allow one handed use only in limited manner. Having said that Note 4 does have the one handed mode if you really want it (s7 edge doesn't IIRC). So Note 4 wins in that too.
S7E being waterproof and tiny bit speedier are both things I've referred to so you added nothing there.
BTW being waterproof doesn't much affect the longevity of the phone unless you live in a dusty and/or extremely rainy place as the sealed battery would degrade (on S7E) long before internal components would be damaged by the lack of IP rating on note 4. It's the no1 consumable on phones and Samsung seals it for a reason...
Also S7E lacks IR (very important to the pro crowd) and an SPen (again).
All in all, a serious downgrade for the vast majority of people.
Anonymous, 21 Apr 2017Note 4 was clearly the better phone.
Better use of QHD as it has the bigger screen
... moreWith all due respect to the Note 4, trully one of the best phones ever made, the S7 edge is better!
The with is very important not to go beyond 7.5cms, because if it does, the phone cannot be operated with one hand anymore. Smaller bezels, yet bigger battery capacity is also another win that affects day to day use. water proofness also affects everyone, because it shields the phone from dust and air moisture, that are responsible for the inevitable damages that appear in most phones, like the digitizer. better ram and cpu really shows as we move on

I have no idea what you are talking about. I've side-stepped no topic, you literally talk about nothing, random words being put in order does not constitute an argument.
Dearest factwriting enthusiasts. There are enough evidence that for political reasons rather non- interfering scientific reasons,S8 and S8+ are under pre planned illogical systemic attacks from belligerent brands!!Though Samsung special edition wrong policy of allocating 128 gigs ROM and 6 gigs RAM for China,US,and south Korea is an absolute discrimination against the rest of the world by implicitly considering those people disqualified!!!?Also respecting gsmArena review, both smartphones have the highest electronic technology progresses around 2020 areas!!Of course $750 and $850 prices respectively have turned to 3 times in some markets!!!Hopefully gsmArena besides direct supporting of powerful Huawei will have braves to prove independence through releasing factwriting fearlessly and wholeheartedly!!There only one site worldwide that sells its products justly and that is...!.Thanks to ask gsmArena to be neutral!!Also careful of faked site falsely represent itself gsmArena subsidiary and calling itself wrongly mobile.ir,gsmArena deputy sends malware, spam, phish, spyware to ruin users systems!!!In the God we trust Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar be released for the public interests....gsmArena test and try is now!!!

Not trading in my V20 for this new S8 for sure. After all both are android and will never offer smooth iphone like experience! V20 because of its dedicated dual sim + sd card slot and the secondary ticker screen can make up for S8 edge displays. Agreed V20 is not a stunner in looks as much as S8 but then its more durable. C'mon Sammy we are tired of all glass design, bring on some class leading innovation in build quality to complement the infinity display.

Oh duh. Who would have thought that after you did that once and got called out that you would actually come back to reality and get on point rather than just continue to side track, lie, and pass the blame....

I see -now- you're not making a statement again, so at this point it's simple trolling. You were vanquished so better run with your tail between your legs now...

S8+ has lower battery: absolutely correct, GSMarena shows that
Chinese phones are around the 100h mark: again factually correct, check GSMarena battery database
Planned obsolescence: absolutely correct, plenty of academic papers showing consumer electronics built to last a certain amount of time and if by accident they are initially ain't , they eventually regress to norm
Actually I have plenty of time in my hands and I'm widely read. I don't post anything that I haven't researched for dozens of hours at least. What is *your* excuse for slandering me, especially as you present no counter evidence?

Iphone feels (and is) quite faster. Basically you rarely have to wait for apps to load on an iPhone, you frequently do on a Samung, this is a quite noticeable difference.
Battery is quite good on Chinese phone (4000+ MaH phones), they're frequently getting 100+ hours on the GSMarena test. Also it was a solved problem on Samsungs too up until S5 (carry a spare and/or buy extended battery). Battery is only a problem because Samsung wants it so (for example S8 has a lower battery score than S7).
It *is* cutting corners. They figure they gain more by fewer sales yet greater margins. Of course that's a lose lose scenario for the consumers. They get less loaded phones for more money (we used to get fully loaded phones for less money)...
