The with is very important not to go beyond 7.5cms, because if it does, the phone cannot be operated with one hand anymore. Smaller bezels, yet bigger battery capacity is also another win that affects day to day use. water proofness also affects everyone, because it shields the phone from dust and air moisture, that are responsible for the inevitable damages that appear in most phones, like the digitizer. better ram and cpu really shows as we move on

Anonymous, 27 Apr 2017The androids have a perfectly good experience and the iPhone is not perfectly smoothAfter around 10 apps , androids start to reload. Iphone (and a few androids) don't do that. That alone gives faaar faster experience.

Not trading in my V20 for this new S8 for sure. After all both are android and will never offer smooth iphone like experience! V20 because of its dedicated dual sim + sd card slot and the secondary ticker screen can make up for S8 edge displays. Agreed V20 is not a stunner in looks as much as S8 but then its more durable. C'mon Sammy we are tired of all glass design, bring on some class leading innovation in build quality to complement the infinity display.

S8+ has lower battery: absolutely correct, GSMarena shows that
Chinese phones are around the 100h mark: again factually correct, check GSMarena battery database
Planned obsolescence: absolutely correct, plenty of academic papers showing consumer electronics built to last a certain amount of time and if by accident they are initially ain't , they eventually regress to norm
Actually I have plenty of time in my hands and I'm widely read. I don't post anything that I haven't researched for dozens of hours at least. What is *your* excuse for slandering me, especially as you present no counter evidence?

Iphone feels (and is) quite faster. Basically you rarely have to wait for apps to load on an iPhone, you frequently do on a Samung, this is a quite noticeable difference.
Battery is quite good on Chinese phone (4000+ MaH phones), they're frequently getting 100+ hours on the GSMarena test. Also it was a solved problem on Samsungs too up until S5 (carry a spare and/or buy extended battery). Battery is only a problem because Samsung wants it so (for example S8 has a lower battery score than S7).
It *is* cutting corners. They figure they gain more by fewer sales yet greater margins. Of course that's a lose lose scenario for the consumers. They get less loaded phones for more money (we used to get fully loaded phones for less money)...
