Samsung Galaxy S8+ vs Sony Xperia XZs Speed Test, Multi... moreWhat will you do with world fastest phone?
Real life i would not notice any difference between like sd 820,821,835 or mybe i should bring couple phone daily to feel the difference?
I just want to feel more feature, more design, more inovation and so on
Savor , 21 Apr 2017S8 is overrated just like the S7 edge was overrated because of design. When fanboys start call... moreIt is fault of " critics ". They aren't critical anymore. They're just enthusiastic. And hyping nature of Americans. they hype everything. Once they decide that they are going to "like" something, it's gonna be hyped. Nothing is overrated in Eastern world. in West, u either see something getting overrated, or underrated. If iPhone, 1st, was launched in Japan, or Korea, it would not have been a success. Actually Americans have mainstreamed most words which automatically hype things. Example, "iPhone completely REVOLUTIONIZED the way we use phones" ".... hollywood ICON monore. ..... " " the ICONIC series of terminator........ " " the ICONIC star wars movie..... ". Don't know what's so special about all those "superheroes " in childish costumes. It's no better than SPD EMERGENCY kids watch. This is how they export their culture.

AlienNextDoor, 21 Apr 2017They can conclude all they want, like every media outlet afraid to be critical. The fact is... moreThe success of big screen phones tell the other story. Once you got used to big screen you can't go back to small screens no matter how best they are for one handed usage. For guys like you who find 4.3"-4.7" screens as the best, you have your options. Why you worry or complain about S8? You have got the smaller iPhones that gives you two options: 4" and 4.7", very much in your sweet spot. Samsung made S8 as compact as possible for a 5.8" screen, and overall phone is a few mm bigger than 4.7" iPhone or 5.1" S7, again not a big deal for many. I don't find any issues here with S8's size. I along with many over here are happy with their 5.5"-5.7" phones. Samsung never forced you to buy their phones. If bezels are minimal 5.5-5.7" screens can be easily used with one hand. So you are not going to deal with a phone as big as iPhone 7 Plus, at least in S8's case.
I think companies and people going crazy just for looks and uniqueness. Curved displays are just nonsense like curved crt monitors. We have come a long way to get that flat screen which have benefit of accurate image aspect ratio and perfect straight line representations in charts and images.
I think you reviewers and media has a great responsibility and encourage right technology. Please do not mislead people into curved display. Samsung taught their flagship should be unique with curved display but they are going back to curved dome shaped crt era....
Viewing video and images in these curved edge displays is just nonsense. Because the images are distorted at the edges both side.
Do not fall into this crazy curved display tech disease.
Well, that certainly seems very convenient, in regards to the battery testing portion of the review. I think it still says plenty by itself, with the figures you were willing to put up. Yes, they needed to go with a larger battery, obviously.

Dont Cry Sammy fan boyz hahaha...Imagine OF SONY XPERIA XZ PREMIUM....
I think Sony XZ premium going to world fastest phone...just waiting for review n antutu score
Just Imagine... Again lolz for sammy fan boyz
GSMArena, you've forgotten the camera another impropvement, it was thinner thus not protruding from phone back like S7 and all other brand flagships
And I forgot to write one more point:
6. Keep the consistency throughout the page. If a device is compared in one Benchmark, keep it in the other Benchmarks as well.
Take care. Ciao...
Dear GSMArena, Since 2010 I'm following your phone reviews. I'm always following the reviews of various devices and like your reviews the most. Whenever I decide to buy a new device, it's your review that I wait for. I found my homework through the net and your review matches almost 90% times. So every time before I buy a phone, I wait for your review.
But, I have some additional suggestions to you for your reviews. Suppose you are giving the performance review of a phone, in the Benchmark graph, please keep the following things in mind:
1. Keep it's predecessor(s) in the list (SGS7 & SGS7edge in case of SGS8 & SGS8+, iP6, iP6S & iP6S+ in case of iP7 & iP7S, etc.), that way we will be able to compare it with the last generation.
2. Keep the in-house competitors (if any) in the list (SGN5 & SGN7 in case of SGS8 & SGS8+) even if sometimes some of them are discontinued.
3. Keep the all time topper in the list, no matter how old that is, specially what I meant was like, you omitted Nokia PureView808 in the Screen list, we would love to compare S8 with the topper.
4. Keep the direct competitors (LGG6 in case of SGS8, and maybe XiaomiMiMix - as that's a screen only device and people might want to have it instead).
5. Keep the phones that you are going to recommend against the device reviewing, that way we can directly compare the performance of the devices.
I hope you would do that. I think that will make your already worth review even better. Thanks for your time. Ciao...
Tinkered with both s8 and s8+ and i immediately liked the s8+ better. I'm surprised at myself for saying this but the s8 is too small for my tastes haha. Guess i got used to the big screens and the big phones in general.
jesse.clark, 22 Apr 2017Let's have an open challenge by the point of a consumer who will really spend that much on a s... moregsma did it for you buddy, at the same money or dearer the drooled over by the paid media iphone, is so out classed here by the S8, that in the conclusions, the ONLY comment for the IPHONE, against this new flagship killer was ..pocketability, lol, they conveniently neglected to mention the tiny, low quality screen that that pocketability would get you, plus the massive ugly outdated bezells, which took awsy any benefit of its pocketability, ithas a tiny 4.7" screen compared to the S8 5.8" screen. Ha then they have the cheek a few lines down to mentio the google phones bezells, after giving slyphone a get out of jail free. Best phone on the market. If you can't afford it, you won't give similar or more money for an obscellescent iphone, you then are relegated to a second level android phone, cheaper and better than an iphone, but no match for an S8...saveh
Too tall is what makes a phone too hard to use! Try pulling down the notifications with only one hand on this too tall weird S8 screen! A wide screen makes texting without errors a lot easier than on a this narrow thin/small screen!
To me S8 is a total fail!
-77.2 is good stereo crosstalk when using headphones!
The worst fingerprint scanner ever and the SMALL viewable screen area, caused by too curved edges with too much reflections/glare, and a weird unrechably tall thin/SMALL screen are dealbreakers for me! Bixby and DeX are toys I would never ever use, and the Bixby button would be really annoying because it is too easy to accidentally press!
Looks a fantastic phone. Great job from the Samsung camp.
Quite a game to change the screen shape to long and narrow, I think a lot of manufacturers will follow. I guess the key is width... 68 to 70mm seems to be the sweet spot. 84% screen to body ratio, more useable space is great.
For me personally I like everything about it, the only thing I'm a little nervous about is the glass back in terms of if dropped most likely will get broken so am looking also at metal backed alternatives.
16:9 is not a "trap"! 16:9 is the natural/best screen resolution, while 18.5:9 looks weird and "unnatural" too unreachably tall and thin/SMALL, and made even worse by the fact that S8 screen have so curved edges that cause a lot of reflections/glare making the viewable screen area very SMALL! S8... should have "removed" the top and bottom edges, not only hidden it behind an unusable unreachably too tall, stretched out, screen! There is NOTHING good about a curved display!
Let's have an open challenge by the point of a consumer who will really spend that much on a smartphone. Now everyone must have their own criteria to choose their smartphone, keeping in mind at this point it should be beautiful enough to make everyone envy of the money you spent, it should have everything latest and greatest, it should actually be the best in the given scenario. Let's forget what brand is your favourite, have an unbiased detailed comparison, at store if possible or online videos, gsmarena reviews etc. Then give your reasons in the form that I will buy 'this' phone over galaxy S8 because......... Followed by your valid unbiased reasons which actually makes sense. As a consumer we have to use the phone, we've to take it out everywhere, so it should be worth it. Plz try to keep local market phones like Chinese brands out of the comparison for availability and as it's a premium comparison, most people do care about status at this price group. No bashing just real reasons for what can really make 'this' phone better than Galaxy S8 which is the current top flagship. Try not to limit your comparison to just one or two things as an overall package does matter.
