Oh damn :v this phone has 1000 of haters.. that means this phone is great... thats why they are hating because their sammy crap dont even close to XZP in every way... thumbs up for sony :D this time they nailed it... hope to buy a XZ Premium :)
1100 comments and most are just bashing over and over. Some even commenting multiple times just to bash. What is wrong with people? You find it ugly, go somewhere else. You find it unsatisfactory, go somewhere else. You have a complaint, email Sony, they'd be glad to receive your feedback. God, i'm losing brain cells when I read comments sections. If you have an honest SANE opinion, comment. If you are only here to complain and troll, go somewhere else.
4k hdr and 960 fps slo mo video really make big impact for this phone. Look at these comment, over 1k.
Even oneplus 3t with 6gb ram can't even beat sony xz premium with just 4gb ram. Now who's your king????? Watch YouTube now that way you can educate yourself. MAKE BELIEVE! ✌
YourNicknameOptional, 28 May 2017Hey yo, look at this yo..
Sony Xperia XZP vs Samsung Galaxy S8+ (speed comparisson) https:/... moreIt loses to S8 in shorting in auto mode. They keel igonioring it bny using Taylor made photo options to make Sony seem better. In all the review sites Sony loses by a huge margin.
Performance compared to S8 it wins because Samsung phones are probably rather slow.
It definitely loses to iplus though. That reviewer keeps using light workloads that few care about. Most people make a heavier use of their phones. Iplus can keep all that in memory, XZP starts reloading pretty fast giving it a slower experience.
So I mispoke, performance is middling (better than the Koreans' worse than the Amricans' and Chinese). Where it absolutely loses is photography , ergonomy and autonomy.
So in 3 of the 4 is dead last Midst flagships and in one is middling.
Sony failed again!
Tann Hauser, 28 May 2017Speed vs ip7plus:
:-)Tests light multitasking. Yeah right, like the majority of users won't brose Facebook, open a bunch of Instagram profiles, have a lengthy messenger chat with videos and images and open a couple of games. All those are ram heavy and Sony's dinky ram would die long before processing all those at once.
Iplus can do it because the ram footprint of anything in IOS is much smaller. 6GB phones can do this because of having more ram. Sony can't do it.
It only wins in tests tailor made to win. Like I said a slow phone that is only fast in light workloads that only few care about... Fail.
BTW it also loses in camera, ergonomy and autonomy. Basically losing is all that this phone is doing..
boohoo, 28 May 2017other big brands never lie to their customers. if they said 2K, it means it is really 2K. un... moreReally... so when Samsung says their processor is 2.35Ghz, it's allllllways 2.35Ghz and never a single Hz less? Never like, ohh I dunno, 800Mhz when it's in standby or something..? Hmm?

boohoo, 28 May 2017really? how about xiaomi mi mix with bezel less design and ceramic body? does it copy ihone? ... moreThat means sharp beats samsung also, bcos it turns out samsung is just learning from sharp. Sharp got it years back. Where were U?
Droid, 27 May 2017Ok let's go
3-best super amoled screen unmatched and alltime q... moreLook, I don't agree with everything Sony has done, but bleating on about the 4K business is just sore-losers trying to undermine a great achievement. The screen IS 4K, pure and simple. The hardware has the resolution, it is an LCD panel physically capable of 3840 lines of resolution. Period, end of discussion.
Is the fact that it doens't --always-- run at 4K a problem? Well that depends on you I guess. Would you want the SoC to ALWAYS run at its full clock speed, regardless of what you're doing? I think probably not. You'd want it to make smart choices about when it needs to unleash the full power, and when it's not really needed so that you can save some battery life.
Does the S8 have some features I'd like the XZ-P to have? Most certainly. It's a great phone, no doubt about it.
However, unless you've rooted your S8 (or whatever) and removed all power-saving features, I think you should re-think your position on the $k thing. Because bleating on about this makes you sound worse than an isheep.
boohoo, 28 May 2017really? how about xiaomi mi mix with bezel less design and ceramic body? does it copy ihone? ... moreXiaomi MI mix just want to copy Sharp Aquos Crystal, but their tech is not enough to make bezelless smartphone smaller, that why the MI mix is extra big. The ceramic is nice and truth to itself, but the metal and gorilla glass is more better and durable.
