My pick was all C, and surprise surprise.
Like it or not, Samsung put some effort in its image processing, and it shows.
And we know who's the lazy one. Can't blame Sony though at this point. They are running a tighter ship to be profitable. As long as their fanboys keep giving them money, I think they will be alright.
AnonD-635604, 19 May 2017Yeah no need OIS :D..Google Pixel with no OIS still better than S8 :D..I'm just telling you :D.Yeah it probably is but the fact is the Pixel wasnt in this shoot out was it?? Sorry but im just telling you :D
Good try though.
The shootout is not blind enough. People guessed which is which and voted the later tests based on the one they picked earlier. Which phone is A, B, C should be changed in each test so people actually judge the picture before making a selection.
GSM Arena why didn't you use the Sony XZs it has better overall camera
As none of the phones rendered the "'fine' honeycomb pattern on the balcony blinds" very finely, none of them gets to stand on my 1st place pedestal, not even 2nd nor 3rd. Got me interested in waiting to see the same balcony blind photo scene on a succeeding shootout which suggestively include U11 (and others). I expect to see a picture of Peter wearing my advised Tactical Vest, too
Time to replace my Z2 now.
i will choose S8. Best camera, and touchwiz does not lag anymore. it is beautiful and fast.
I love Galaxy

I even don't participate the blind test, because I known it is really BLIND.
Nokia 808 Pureview & Nokia 1020 Is Always Best !!!
All cameras performed great in the first picture i voted b because it was correctly exposed
Second one went to lg because the patterns on tiles were much clearer
Third went to s8
Fourth to lg and fifth to sony

The whole "unfair to Sony" and "paid by Samsung " rubbish really has run its course. If you want to see your precious Sony win tell them to stop making below average and half baked products
Wow! This is a rare case of one smartphone clearly trouncing the other. Well done, Samsung on clearly winning with the S8. The G6 also deserves praise, being just a hair behind the S8.
As for Sony, I am a bit shocked, after their traditionally superb hardware and finally improved 2017 camera software, I expected them to do way better. No words, really.....
BTW I know it was nearly impossible to include the HTC U11 in this shootout, but maybe the Google Pixel could have been used for the comparison since it is a proven performer.
AnonD-655096, 19 May 2017No one paid nobody. Just accept the fact that Samsung did better on this shoot out. :)That's the thing. I can't accept the fact because i have an S8+. Do you? I'm not biased when it comes to this.
AnonD-655096, 19 May 2017No one paid nobody. Just accept the fact that Samsung did better on this shoot out. :)this test is not even a fact.this is just an opinion test
[deleted post]Typical nonsense, what results would you like to see?
That keen eye that everyone seems to have today, you know the one that picks out the 'supposed' deliberate distortion of images in order to skew the results, was nowhere to be seen yesterday.
No, yesterday everyone was saying that 'C' was producing the best images. Now that 'C' has been revealed to not be the device many people were hoping for, they are instead all now seeing various phantom manipulations, and crying foul......
Give me a break!
AnonD-655096, 19 May 2017Just accept the truth. No harm in trying my friend.
By using the compare tool in the Gsmarena, we can know the Xperia XZs already equal Samsung S8, it is because the Xperia XZs use the ISO400 with 1/16s and the S8 have to use ISO250 with 1/10s to capture almost the same quality. So I think the blind test is for the sake of ulterior ends.
Not to mention the XZ Premium have not launch in to the market, all still pre-order or starting Pre-Order, so it could be the prototypes, it is fair?
