Even then, the SD821 is still capable and was a flagship, and is still kicking some a$$.

They just need to manipulate the amount of light the pixels are receiving, and I'm still theorizing an idea of putting some 10 layers of thin glass or light transmitter so that the pixels, even with smaller size, will receive almost 10 times more light than it can - like making the pixel size grow 10 times larger without truly making it that large.
1.22um x 10 = 12.2um size. That's twice the pixel size of an APS-C sensor camera. I do think Sony will do this first.
[deleted post]A phone can make you angry? Or is it just because you hate the brand as overall?
If so, it doesn't make any sense that you are here wasting your time to comment on something you hate.
You fanboy of any brand can argue with anything but trust me I have the s8 since most people review it and its the best flagship right now, good looking but the battery sucks. I have it for 2weeks and it didn't last a day on heavy used(went for outing) battery is a shame on s8 don't know about lg,xzp but I regret buying s8. I'm I the only one who is unlucky with s8 and what to do with it I buy it with my 1 and half month salary.
MdN8, 21 May 2017The Sony has the best wallpaper, I'm using it on my Galaxy. I knew what you did.! lol

NickiName, 21 May 2017Samsung, LG, and Sony fans must calm down.
No need to insult other phones just because they'r... more1 speakers need to be loud you see there's some weird thing called calls which people actually do on their phones. The phone needs to be loud to notify users about calls in crowded places. To listen to music you can lower the volume you see but can't increase max volume to listen to it in crowded areas
2 could've and would've don't matter. Hypothetical situations aren't considered when actual production unit is in your hands. It has LCD not OLED
3 again same hypothetical situation. If I want to use manual mode on a phone I'd be better with a SLR or semi pro that costs half price than any of these phones and obliterates them anyways. Phone shots aren't meant to be composed or professionally taken, they are for FB or Instagram it's good auto mode or nothing
4 I know you don't have answers to these points so like usual fans you'll ignore it so good going and have a nice day.
PS this is from guy whose first true smartphone was Xperia Sola
LG G6 doesn't deserved to be part of this contest. LG G6 is upper midrage not a flagship for today's standard. I'm tired to say this, why not the Xiaomi Mi 6 instead? it uses an SD 835 which is a flagship. LG should not belong here until they make a proper flagship.
Sony need to out ois instead of their digital stabilization. OIS will do better in low light and also they should increase pixel size and lower resolution... thats the way to win the camera competition... and the Arpeture? It doesnt matter... because Google Pixel showed us what F2.0 can do... its still a best smartphone camera out there

Was used by Galaxy S2, by certain Nokias ... Sony merely refuses to change that's why it looks unique these days. The whole wide world moved on, Sony failed.

If it had proper competition like the latest Huawei, Pixel, iPhone and possibly U 11 (its camera mostly) it would had been trading punches.
LG and Sony are lightweights in other words.
Samsung, LG, and Sony fans must calm down.
No need to insult other phones just because they're a fan of one of the phones in the comparison.
When I read the 56 comments, mostly are against Sony.
Let me clarity everything you've pointed out:
-Speaker Quality is just as important as speaker loudness. It can't be the loudest, but it's not to the point of being inaudible - the other two are just way too loud to damage your ears. I hope you still know that these phones are only phones and are not meant to be an Ambulance Siren. Thus, you will understand why stereo speaker matters when you have used it already.
-XZ Premium's display would've been the best if it was OLED from JDI. The blacks aren't deep, but have you seen it anyways? When with enough lighting, the screen's black will be covered with the reflection of light, negating the simple backlighting and giving an illusion of true blacks. But in the dark, you'd probably slide the brightness all the way down, and in that case, the XZ Premium can offer jist as deep blacks as the G6 if not the S8, and in turn, will give that immersive HDR look. On another side note, the XZ Premium will be the most future proof as the 4K resolution will become a norm in the few upcoming years.
-Camera isn't specifically designed for low light shooting, but I hope you are enlightened by GSMArena editors - it takes the practice of using the XZ Premium's Manual Mode, but it can deliver amazing shots with a tripod. Probably not gonna be done in reality, but there comes the thing called "Flash" and will be useful in the dark - it won't be there near the camera if it won't be used at all.
I hope that I have made myself some points so we must stop hating each other, okay?
The reason that Sony fans rage is because other fans are insulting them, name-calling them, etc.
No hate please - GSMArena doesn't like fighting either.
I'm Sony fanboy and I like both XZP and S8 design(I love the curve). Btw congrats :-)
[deleted post]NO innovation?? REALLY!!??
Sony has Motion Eye in their camera, So is it not innovation?? So it have been on other non Sony products?
Anonymous, 20 May 2017Sony fans must be in pain. It's *blown out*. It's always a good day when the truth reveals itself.Im actually happy with the results, everything is in tie. only sammy excel is in design category and thats it
Anonymous, 20 May 2017Loudnes has nothing to do with quality. The earphone inside S8 box is better than one from ... moreLOL. Without the source being good no earphones can manage to sound good. I think you just think audio quality is all about the earphones and headphones. No it is not. So as per you, Nokia 3310 also sounds better than S8, XZP if we use high end Sony, Sennheiser and Audio Technica headphones right? Learn something about audio before you talk.
Anonymous , 20 May 2017Loudness does not mean it produces a clear sound. Sony has a quite sound, but it produces a cl... more"Winner: Tough one. We'd call it a tie as none really excels. The Xperia has stereo speakers going for it, but they're pretty quiet; the G6 is loud, at the expense of distortion at maximum volume; the S8 is the most balanced, but we can't call it a winner, when it doesn't have stereo speakers, and a competitor does." and for audio quality: "Winner: Samsung Galaxy S8. The loudest output with the least degradation in quality when under load comes from the Samsung headset." These clearly contradicts your statements. S8 got most balanced speaker according to GSMA. As far as audio quality is concerned if S8 can sound good with those basic AKG earphones they can also sound better with even better earphones.
