The Xperia has stereo speakers going for it, but they're pretty quiet; the G6 is loud, at the expense of distortion at maximum volume; the S8 is the most balanced, but we can't call it a winner, when it doesn't have stereo speakers, and a competitor does." and for audio quality: "Winner: Samsung Galaxy S8. The loudest output with the least degradation in quality when under load comes from the Samsung headset." These clearly contradicts your statements. S8 got most balanced speaker according to GSMA. As far as audio quality is concerned if S8 can sound good with those basic AKG earphones they can also sound better with even better earphones.
Congratulations Samsung galaxy S8 it pretty much won every category. They let it tie a few times with the other 2 phones but I think that was because the other 2 needed points.
Also a category for putting a phone on a tripod is stupid.
I've never seen anybody put there phone on a tripod honestly who walks around with a tripod.
Bloodymare, 21 May 2017because of all brand only sony had that design and they call it uniqueness, yeah absolutely ri... moreSony doesn't have a unique design. Its design is a ripoff of Lumia phones. It's long outdated. Everyone has already moved on from that while Sony got left behind.
RaghavaZ, 20 May 2017Having stereo speakers and still losing to S8 in audio quality and loudness, wow i don't know ... moreThe bezels don't just house the speakers, they also house the camera sensors. And for my personal preference, I prefer speaker/s that fire at my face, not to my palm where it gets muffled.

Cassy O, 20 May 2017The Galaxy S8 is tie with Xperia XYZ Premium bla bla bla just because the XZP is the sharpest ... moreGSMArena has explicitly stated there that even though the XZ Premium has less screen diagonal, it has more screen real estate due to the different aspect ratio.
3well 6thatexperia is sexy b0ut its heavy, G6 on the other hand 3has the ideal ratio6 and for GS8 damn9beast-like performance theysay..8653
Kha0s, 20 May 2017As much as i wished to see Sony on top of this comparison, i must admin Samsung gets the first... moreS8 is the one which makes you stand out. When everyone is just having a flat screen phone, it has curved infinity display, it proved that dual camera was just a gimmick and a single great camera is better than two bad ones. It's the only one with all those fancy, attractive still useful accessories, only one with more than android experience, an inbuilt physical home button (virtually physical to be precise) and the only one with all the smart features. Everyone doesn't have an S8, only rich people have it.
The battery test is pretty surprising and shows how S8 is a true smartphone, it got smallest battery, biggest display, most powerful performance but still crashed both the rivals in battery test. Now that's something worth noting after the camera showdown.

L0lip0p, 21 May 2017Welcome to 2017 where look matter than valuesad to say.. yeah!! if only humans knew what great specs means..

looked for great design and next are the features on the phone and unfortunately even if sony had great specs the phone's design really matters , that's fact.
Anonymous, 21 May 2017Can't judge a phone just by a certain component...total agree.
Its a long article for "All phones are not too revolutionary this year, the S8 wins in all categories by a little though, the XZ is the worst and G6 somewhere in between".
To me, I couldnt believe at how shocking the Sony looks next to the S8 and G6. Its almost as if Sony used a time machine, moved to the 90s and designed their phones there, then came back and announced them in 2017. I wonder why Sony and HTC are such design offenders these days.
Hoffmann, 20 May 2017LG G6 got a SD 821 chipset, therefore it can't be amongst the best this year. Can't judge a phone just by a certain component...
GSMARENA your phone reviews are great & it covers all the things. but one thing is missing and it's the AUDIO QUALITY through Headphones (because audio benchmarks means nothing actually). hire an audiophile and let him judge the audio quality through headphones. See whathifi.com they are like dxomark but for audio quality (but sadly not all the phones get reviewed).
The Galaxy S8 is tie with Xperia XYZ Premium bla bla bla just because the XZP is the sharpest screen?
The Xperia XZP is the worst contrast ratio of the three (watch HDR content with 1223:1 contrast ratio? LOL)
The Galaxy S8 and LG G6 have better color calibration than Xperia XZP. And about sunlight contrast ratio, Xperia is the worst too ( i bet when you use Xperia directly under sunlight you can't see your screen properly just like Xperia Z5P)
Nothing can beat Samsung in display departement (ATM)!
And the funny thing is the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 are smaller than the Xperia XZ Premium but the XZP has smaller screen size of the three.
