"Makes sense that they would when you think about it really, what with the Note 7 fiasco and all."
Ok we got it, they would. Again, when they do, I'll tell U.
BTW N7s issue has nothing to do with lifespan, its not a drift.
Am sure you are making sense. Go to a funeral or something, you'll surely get condolence.

Second, your not even getting close to making any sense, just rambling incoherently.
Third, I've linked to an article which highlights the point I was making, I am not saying Samsung has implemented any 'Qvono' equivalent tech, but it does appear they have taken some steps towards increasing battery longevity (which is essentially qvono's sole purpose).
Makes sense that they would when you think about it really, what with the Note 7 fiasco and all.
Lex79, 29 May 2017Yes, but Samsung has since spent more just rectifying that particular problem in the S8 than m... moreConsole yourself. Samsung has done nothing about battery technology to bring them close Sony's Qnovo. If someone does not stop you now, tomorrow we'll hear "Samsung has the same technology as Qnovo". That's how it starts. Please stop right there, when they make something, We'll know.
Harold, 25 May 2017The only low quality battery was in Samsung that's why they explodedYes, but Samsung has since spent more just rectifying that particular problem in the S8 than most rival manufacturers spend on their entire product R&D.
They've even gone as far as to take considerable steps toward improving battery longevity, according to Samsung users can now expect their S8 batteries to hold 95% charge even after a year of standard use:
This seems to bring them in line with Sony's licenced Qvono tech, I don't know why Samsung are not making a bigger deal of this....
Spike1, 27 May 2017S8+ exynos should have been includedAnd the main different is only performance. It is unnecessary
mischa, 21 May 2017Samsung also spend the most in R&D. especialy in camera department
galaxy s8 uses galaxy s7's main camera
that's 0$ in R&D for 750eur phone lmao xD

Harold, 25 May 2017The only low quality battery was in Samsung that's why they explodedI used lot of Xperia models. Xperia s, z1, ultra, z3+. Xperia phones are shit. They have a bad habit of shutting down camera and video recording when the phone get started to heat up. That's ridiculous. I haven't seen that kind of behavior in any other brands of flagship. Plus sony 20+ mega pixels camera is a disaster when you takes photos at night. I really embarrassed in front of my friend when i take night time photos. Only thing that impress me is the durability of sony. (i have Xperia s for more than 4years without replacing any thing, battery is little down but still hold on). Except that Sony is still lag behind. I think those are the reasons why sony can't compete with new chinese brands even though they were in smartphone game for long time. Sorry for poor English
Anonymous, 23 May 2017That's definitely not the solution and most possibly the reason why those 3 have stopped tryin... moreYes you can do experiment by buying different brands if you hay plenty of money. But for people like us 2nd hand value of the phone is more important because i use to sell my old phone to buy a new phone.so brand is very important thing to consider
xXENDER FREAKXx, 24 May 2017Thats the reason why Sony is good. They are consistent with their quality. Heard very less fau... moreThat's not a very good reason for anything.
Consistency is good, quality is better.
Sony has lows quality battery, ergonomy and photography for a flagship.
Being consistent in creating low quality hardly makes you a "hero"
