No issues at all. Fingerprint and all features work like a charm. Infact, it is better then using an ATT or Verizon branded devices. Its totally free of all bloatware and the updates are super quick.

The best thing i like about Sony is the Software and Battery stability even after years of use, and super fast security updates which is very important for me as i am in media and security business.

I would have said perfectly, no sweat, as I've never had any issues when visiting the US. But if you had some issues with a Z5 then maybe you are doing things I'm not...

Different region firmware installs right on top with no rooting or unlocking needed.

If you're simply talking about bringing or shipping one from Europe, I -believe- they're covered globally regardless, but I'm not sure.

People keep saying that the weird aspect ratios of the G6 and S8 mean that the actual usable area is less than we'd get from a 16:9; but what actually --are-- those usable areas (edge drop-off and the like considered too, hard to calculate that without the phone in-hand..) compared to the XZP?

I like all three phones (and the HTC U11 and Xiaomi Mi Mix), but each option has some issues. Here are my concerns about the phones:

                    1. Samsung phones historically have had two issues that only arise over time, software slow down and battery degradation. Have these issues been resolved with the s8 line?
                    2. Just how fast will the 821 chipset become antiquated?
                    3. How well will an unlocked international Sony work on AT&T in the US? I had a z5 premium that worked, but never as well as my Galaxy Note 2.

This is a physical limit. You cannot charge a phone instantly because physical laws don't allow for it. You'd always have to wait at least an hour.

That alone means that removable batteries will make a return. Good ideas always return, but their future iteration would be less annoying. Motorola already does it matter unkoingly with its covers. Most people complain because they don't get how revolutionary idea is, most people don't get revolutionary ideas period, they merely use them.

So the future of batteries is this: removable battery + a time one that will keep the light on when the replacing takes place. Good ideas never become obsolete, they return. LG G5 is a phone beyond its time. Timeless camera, great performance, removable battery. That's 3/4ths of the perfect phone (it only lacks ergonomy).

Sure it's ugly, but "ugly" is fixable.
