The issue with standby is clearly the firmware. Many reviews have pointed out the instability of the current MIUI and I'm certain that this is the source of the battery life which is good, but falls very short of what it should be.

Why Sony XZ Premium is missing from comparison in PERFORMANCE segment.. A SD 835 powered phone should be compared with SD 835 or equalent processor.. XZ Premium too outperformed S8 in many tests.. Did Samsung pay you to keep true rivals out of comparison charts??

And on top of that it had off-screen buttons too. Sony just has big bezels.

Camera is awful. Slightly better than XZ premium. It competes with Sony Xperia XA but not with other flagships. The phone is crap

Convincing enough to upgrade from Mi 5. I will wait at least October though, as I experience significant price drop with my 64GB Mi 5 (I bought mine for $376, now it's priced for only $216). Well, they were marked up anyways, so I guess the margin was just too high initially.

It runs on Nougat but does it have even a single nougat feature?
MIUI ruins it.
The only good thing I like about MIUI is that it is snappy and has that dual space and dual app feature.

The battery life is a big disappoitment. The battery life test was the only reason that I have been waiting to make sure. So bad for a top spec phone

Have to disagree at it is worth the markup price of 600. Lack of LTE bands and VoLTE support. No MicroSD slot. It is great for the price, but not so much when it is marked up similar to other flagships.
