I personally wouldn't touch Huawei. Having dealt with them for the past week, they have stated that the p9 lite update they have released overseas they have no intention to release in New Zealand. They have stated that a security flaw with the finger print sensor they released a patch for in December overseas will not be released in NZ. They have a lot of growing up to do before they should be taken serious. Today stating that they aren't interested in releasing new versions of android to their phones because they are good enough without them. No, no they are not especially when you don;t release patches to fix the bugs.

Because for the same price you can ... moreIndeed, It's even funny that gsmarena didn't even mention the regular Honor 8. Which has a much more powerfull Cortex-A72 combo and has Nougat with Emui 5.0. Today this device is ridiculous cheap. And it has Gorilla glass at both front and back.

Dang, just bought the wife a P10 lite 3 weeks ago after her A5(2015) decided to die just for the hell of it :-(
Could have saved myself £100 :-/ with the P8 Lite (2017)
However it was £80 cheaper than a replacement A5(2017)
But 4gb ram should make it last a little longer if they are good for getting OTA updates.
To be fair she loves the phone as as we all know a happy wife - happy life :-D
Might have been worth the extra £100 after all
It does look a lot more expensive than the money we paid.
Well done to CPW for a good deal as its went up in price since then.

I never get my head around idea of selling such devices... Because for the same price you can get new last gen flagship, like P9. You get better device with better hardware and price difference that I saw last time in shop was maybe 30-50Euro. If you get it online you can find it even cheaper.

cmon gsmarena , you dont have to sugarcoat it. That gpu running a 1080p screen is a joke. it will struggle with many games at high settings with that weak gpu.

The CPU is acceptable, the GPU is not.

no Gorilla Glass is not a shortcoming for me, Gorilla glass cracks your whole screen not just that part where it got hit, better to put tempered

Strange that the P8 Lite (2017) is pretty much identical but much cheaper - what type of game is Huawei playing with its customers? If its priced higher, it should be clear that this is due to higher specs. I've heard that the P8 lite (2017) is somehow inferior in its speed and its oleophobic coating of the screen but not sure that this is the case given this review.
