Also the 5(00) doesn't have ois!
LOl that ui looks same as what comes with cheep chines branded mobile available in the market.
Anonymous, 20 Jun 2017What about call quality? No comments on that. This is still a phone you know.Since when GSMA is mentioning call quality in their reviews? All you will get is that earpiece dB figure, that's it. Though as dB is only a measure of loudness not quality, but still this one seems at least better than previous one, though as someone who happens to have the OP3, I can say the call "quality" of the phone is sub-par, and the loudness could be better too, along with an awful vibration motor. These are almost never mentioned in any review!
The hype phone One plus 5
"it's not worth the price".. Many reviewers remarks..
Went for i phone 7 plus design = Failed
Went for i phone 7 plus dual camera specially portrait mode = Failed miserably (as apple is the king in making software and their optimization)
And the camera is not in par with the quality of galaxy s8, lg g6, Sony xzs and htc u11..
One plus going in the path of its sister company Oppo.. dissapointed!!
I believe that HUAWEI P10/P10+ should have been in the alternatives as well.
Oh,also U11 is a good alternative to every phone!
AnonD-84537, 20 Jun 2017Does it have MIMO or they skkiped this time also?
2x2 MIMO, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4G/5G
Sorry OP going with either ZTE Z17 or S7 Edge.
Gsmarena Team, when is the review for Z17 will be ready?
Also why ZTE is waiting to launch Axon8?
well atleast now that this is out,i can buy a oneplus 3t cheaper lmao
AnonD-411799, 20 Jun 2017and zach "jerryrigseverything" has already done the burn & bend test. https://www.youtube... moreThe quality is at least is good as expected, not as good as the iPhone 7+ but enough, it's smells like some same suppliers or really well cloned. Sadly in the burn test even without black dots, it remained a translucent shadow, and the display popped up in the bend while not in the iPhone 7+, probably helped with the seal against water and dust, but better in result. Anyhow at least good, at it should be if we look how much it cost now.
Screen disappointing. No waterproof. As I understand, no dedicated audio chip. Not bezelles. No unique design, straight copy. Second camers is not worth it's existence. Not accu improvement. So it's not the best choice when there are Nubia Z17, Honor9 and Xiaomi Mi 6. Sorry, OnePlus, will see you year after. Maybe you will serve a better dish.
No waterproofing? No stereo speakers? No 3D Touch? Same low resolution AMOLED that's below 300dpi?
Seems like they didn't even finish copying Apple's 2016 flagship let alone 2017 flagship.
What about call quality? No comments on that. This is still a phone you know.
When oneplus 3 come i though it is overpriced. But now What about this
nik.007, 20 Jun 2017Everyone's on youtube is like posting all their reviews and comparisons together, it's clear t... moreand zach "jerryrigseverything" has already done the burn & bend test.
I bought s8 for 500$ on 1 year contract.
One+ doesn't offer anything that would make me think did I made good decision...
If I would shop another phone today, off contract, I would go with Honor 9...
Only thing that One+ has as advantage is Dash charging and if you're Amoled lover, that can be another, all other things are just better with Honor phone.
AnonD-519805, 20 Jun 2017What about the collaboration with DXO? Where is OIS? The sensor is really small, too. After a ... moreGood catch, there is no OIS. Also, according to the Ars Technica review, the camera has some issues:
"In certain lighting conditions, the OnePlus 5 camera can go nuts with its image processing, making photos look like watercolors or pencil sketches at full crop. If you're posting tiny squares to Instagram or Facebook, this probably won't matter much, but if you like to crop photos, it can become a problem. Low light performance isn't great, either, and lots of times the camera will just seek focus back and forth, even as other phones have no problem."
So those are supposed to be good camera samples or what?
