Anonymous, 27 Jun 2017Sony is the best camera, but i do hate the ergonomics of the design toughThe brick-like design is pretty damn awful, if you keep your phone in pants pockets - some Finnish reviewer said it's the most uncomfortable phone to keep in pocket for the last few years. I guess Sony doesn't care about ergonomics at all. But yeah, the biggest problem with the camera-quality seems to be fixed - no more of those hilariously bad-looking edges in pictures, which is a good thing.

If it's useless, then what's the point of shooting 4K videos when you can't see it on its full resolution?

And sorry, but did I just went off topic? Well, I was just curious to know how sad your life is. I may not know what you're really doing, but the way you talk to me, I can see that what you're doing is boring, just like your life.

Bebe Rexha, 27 Jun 2017Your ethymology is st*pid. How the hell did a 4K HDR screen ever become a mid range? That ... more4K HDR is gimmicky nonsense.

Why am I here? Well like I said before, for fun. Everyone likes to make fun of that weird kid in class don't they? You know that duh saying kid, who can't be matured enough to go along with other kids and stuffs? Yeah that's Sony, has been for past 6-7 years or so.

Don't worry about my success though, simply because you don't have the slightest idea about what I do, and that's off topic too, though Sony fans need off topic contents to divert the topic, can't really blame them anyway when the company produces garbage phones year after year after year.

        Duh...

Overall, the HTC U11 has the best camera.
          Why?
It's the fastest, and has slightly better range than the iPhone. Just really really good, not perfect, but overall the best. Well done HTC, its been a while.

The iPhone 7+ is the runner up.
It can take shots almost as good, slightly softer textures, and more muted colours (though some people prefer this realistic/accurate looking pallet). The one thing the iPhone does best, and has done best for many generations... its just so precise. The shots are so consistent, and good-consistent. To be honest, I'm not a fan of dual-cameras... not unless there is a benefit to it like 3D modelling, or a Thermal camera, or a Hyper detailed Black-White photography, or a Super-wide aspect shot... the iPhone doesn't offer any of those.

          The Xperia is the worst.
On paper it is the best, but not sure what it is about its drivers or software but its really lacking. It doesn't do it justice. The Xperia can take better shots than either phone, but it requires a lot of careful setting... whereas the iPhone can simply take the shot without a worry. And the HTC U11 can take even better shots than the iPhone without any/little setup. The only thing the Sony has is bragging rights about having the best camera "on-paper", but not in-practice. Well, that and the high-framerate capture is pretty cool.

Overall, the HTC U11 is a slight/decent step-up from the Pixel phones and the iPhones.
The Sony is great, but it should be the best, but it is not... just history repeating itself.

That one alone simplifies the negative mindset on your body. If you don't like Sony, and nobody cares about Sony, then Idk why you and many of us are even bothered of talking about it.

Probably more people cares about Sony than you.
If you want to succeed in life, then I'm sorry but bashing a specific company that's not doing anything bad is not a proper step.

[deleted post]Ha ha believe me, more XZP praising comments flow, more hilarious it gets. Sony doesn't hold a candle to G6 or Pixel or even S8 I'm afraid. They have the worst so-called-flagship camera on a phone this year, like many years before that anyway. U11 not only beats it in camera segment, there are other segments where it destroys the XZP, like audio obviously.

All these are moot anyway, no one cares about Sony phones at first place, only 2 or 3 trolls maybe abide by their stupid products, so minority never mattered.

Sony XZP is nothing but a midrange phone with insanely high price tag. On par with phones like Moto Z Play, One Plus and them Redmi or whatever sorts.

                  [deleted post]What you're calling a trash?
I surely doubt the iPhone 7 Plus can beat it in speed, let alone the U 11.

And how about sharpness of the screen in VR?

How about the audio quality, a battle of monos vs stereo?

May I also know who was earlier to get Nougat?

If low light is what you're asking for, then I'm not gonna be afraid. If it can beat the G6 and S8 in low light in Manual Tripod, then it's not a hard task to blow these two away in the same mechanics. Lol.

Aye......So here we have it the HTC U11 in the ring with the iPhone 7+ and the Sony XZP. We demanded it and we have it. Thanks to the GSMA team. Very detailed and helpful comparison between the cameras of all the three phones. But at the same time it is also true that no camera comparison is complete without the low light chapter...... Hope you add it as soon as you have the HTC U11. Just add the chapter in this review and update it. It was a very good read i would say one of the best camera comparisons along with the LG G6, Samsung S8 and the Sony XZP one which was posted on the website a few days ago. GSMA Team rocks :-)

CAPITAN SALAZAR, 27 Jun 2017You know why because HTC has put a clear sincere and noticeable efforts in its camera and that... moreWhat did HTC tried to improve on their camera?
                        -Increased the aperture size
                        -Better image processing
                        -Faster focusing speed
Though smaller sensor and smaller pixel size.

                        And Sony?
                        -Improved the lens sharpness
-Vastly improved low light capability with better colors and subject rendering
-Reduced megapixels in favor of larger pixels
                        -Reduced rolling shutter distortion
-Increased the camera shutter speed (it can do as fast as 1/32,000 shutter if it was just available)
-Brought 960fps Slow Motion video that wasn't even possible on smartphones before.
-Made 4K video EIS as good as in 1080p 30fps Intelligent Active Steadyshot.

HTC did well this year, but Sony did a lot more this year and improved even further.

In the end, sony is still the king in everything electronic. Design, performance, television, video games, blu Ray's, even refrigerator (if there's one). xz premium shouldn't even be here in the first place. Best compared with real digital camera.
