In my country, Alcatel, Hisense, ZTE, and other Android manufacturers STILL made CHEAP DUAL SIM Android phone with dedicated microSD slot, even removable battery! With the same LOW-END specs as Nokia 3, 5, & 6, but HALF THE PRICE!

My point is: Nokia NEVER LEARN! They USED to make CHEAP phone then sold it at FANTASTIC price, then CAME Android, with "better" features, such as bigger screen, better SoC, better Audio, bigger app store with many free apps, and so on, BUT they were STUBBORN & ARROGANT as they, together with Microshit, ONCE mocking Android as "failure OS", not gonna change the dominance of Symbian OS with its meager, ALL-PAID apps, very old ARM11 SoC, & CHEAP nHD which stuck at 360 x 640 pixels FOREVER!

I was happy though that they choose to join with Microshit to release Windows [junk]Phone that ALWAYS disappoint its owner, instead of going Android which MANY predicted will be their "nail in the coffin", which fortunately comes true.

Now, they "resurrected" and choose to use Android, BUT with the same formula: CHEAP components + LOW-END SoC + MEDIOCRE camera, then price it "like usual", at FANTASTIC price!

Honestly, IF what u want is durability, just buy RUGGED case, e.g LoveMei case which also splash resistant, dust, & sand resistant. I for once, buy Mi5 64GB at US$250 and get a lovemei case which cost US$30, and I NEVER worry about bending, dust, sand, or water splash anymore. and u know what? Why phone WORKS LIKE A CHAMP till now.

Why bother for a "brand" gimmicky when u could get a device which is "less" branded, but would give u a champ device which will works & give updates for 3 years?

For most, the price difference is high. By the way, the build quality of 5 also should be better than most phones. No everyone need extreme durability.

Kinda nice...thing from Nokia.Cheap but not that bad to look at it,but with just ONE serious problem, for the same money you can get about 100 different phones, all of them with better specs, starting and ending with few dozen Xiaomi Redmis...same thing with the 6,I actually tried it,it`s a quality product no doubt but for the specs, again look elsewhere. And for the 8,common Nokia, try different approach-way better specs for way less cash...how about that?

there is nothing standout about nokia midrangers. there is barely anything standout about the nokia 8 flagship with its ugly design and windows OS anymore.

you guys are just jumping on the brandwagon jesus

Nokia 6 has FHD and it will consume more battery since the screen resolution is higher unlike Nokia 5 that has HD only. Its not also worth an upgrade since there batter are the same. And about the camera, they have the same quality even if they have different megapixel size. And the price? are you even serious? Price is better too? Nokia 5 is cheaper than Nokia 6 so the price is not better.

Really good phone though 32gb storage would definitely make it much better!
Smaller than Nokia 6 makes it better choise allready. Not to mention those SIM and memory slots. Good job! Did not Expect so good heaphone quality in this price gategory.

For me I will choose NOKIA 6 because of the design and bulkiness and that is why it also deserves the nickname "TANK AF". Better camera too and price. Worth the upgrade

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2017You have to remember this is Nokia first crack at a return.....no company knocks it out of the... moreDon't say bullshit, dude...

Xiaomi, OnePlus, ZUK, LeEco & NexBit "first attempt" in Android world was successful. Some of their devices even recognized as "flagship killer" that received GREAT responses from people around the world.

Meanwhile, Samsung "first attempt" on Android phone was quite good, even its Galaxy Young series was one of the best selling Android device at that time.

Sony, at that time still Sony Ericsson, was getting even better response than Samsng for their Android device, because of their "unique" features (Walkman, qwerty keyboard, camera, even PlayStation).
Its Xperia Mini Pro was once one of the best selling phone because it almost has everything (qwerty keyboard, Walkman-based audio, good camera, decent SoC) people want.

On the other hand, Nokia's "first attempt" in Android, Nokia X & X2 series, was TRASH.

They made Android phones with 3rd rate spareparts, meager RAM & VERY low-end SoC then sold it at mid-range price.
Several of my friends had it, and u know what? It could only last SEVERAL MONTHS before its components one by one broke (display, SIM tray, SD slot, USB slot, no signal, etc).

And now, Nokia tried to "start a new leaf" and release "new" Android phones, with the same formula: CHEAP components + CHEAP SoC then priced it as high as mid-range BRANDED phone (Nokia is NO MORE "branded", it is just ANOTHER START-UP now).

I know JerryRig and some other reviewers on YouTube "prove" the "new" Nokia Android phones have solid build quality, BUT the question here is:

"Do u EXPECT people to HOLD their low-performance Android phones for two years or more, while EVERY YEAR a new phone with BETTER SoC & features keep coming, with the same or lower price compared to last year counterpart?"

FYI, Vanilla Android advantages are only in the update "promise", "smoother than custom OS" user experience, and "efficient use of RAM".
U could not even use it to play MKV, WMV, XVID videos out-of-the-box without the help of 3rd party video player!

IF Nokia had released Nokia 6 with SD625 (at least), I could agree with fanboys' opinion that Nokia "made phone for last", but with SD430, mediocre camera, generic IPS display, standard 3000mAh NON-REMOVABLE battery, out-of-date microUSB 2.0 & hybrid SIM slot, I really, really doubt any "sane" person would buy this POS instead of buying a BRANDED device with better features & specs at the same price of Nokia 6 (especially true for Chinese brand devices), or just wait for Nokia 8 to release, as US$250 is DEFINITELY not a CHEAP price!
