      it's so funny
oneplus 5 selfie camera sensor (imx371) is very similar to lg v30 main camera sensor (imx351). what a shame for lg.

Curved screen edges, I'm out. Seriously, what marketing research indicated we wanted fragile construction for a feature with an indiscernible benefit? Market research should show how many people put cases on their phones to protect their investment...
I suppose they are the same consultants that told these companies that we didn't want 3.5mm headphone jack, either

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2017It's 1.69? Are you sure? What terrible marketing lies if true. And still inky 1um? And only 5m... moreMe too, me too. I was so excited when I read specs sheet at first. But after I dug into the underline part of the specs I WAS that disappointed! I was literally mad. It seems now that their chief literally tipped onto such tricks when said that they used smaller components to make the phone smaller. Whith that being said and those peculiarities became known as can understand what did he mean. They try to save money during less quality components such as camera sensors. They used 1/2,6 sized sensor in V20, then shifted onto 1/3 in the G6 and now are during the same size sensor with bigger MP count. What a stupid marketing things from LG. Their imaging engineers are working so hard to get the max perf out of those tiny sensors and they make things even worse for them. LG's imaging engineers, I appreciate what you are doing and just wonder what would you done having you such hardware as S7 or S8 have. It would have been rx100 picture quality if not even better)

You can find same results from people of any brand. People say the same thing with carriers and other aspects.
But the end result is always the same thing. All companies suck and someone will have a bad experience with said company no matter how good someone else's is.

It does sound good on paper, not sure about the looks, but 1000$?It'll be half that 'till Christmas..Or get V20 for 350$ or less right now..EU didn't get last one,and in a good LG tradition they will probably selling V30 without Quad DAC & the rest of audio circuitry..for 900€?I believe for that price chinese phone brands will make a monsterphone..

AnonD-674281, 31 Aug 2017Yes with IR blaster, this is my upgrade. In your dreams man.

Gsma has updated the specs page and ir blaster is nowhere to be seen. First time i checked this morning here in middle east, i has ir blaster. When i checked again just a while ago ir blaster is not listed.

If you compare the phone with g3, the comparison table says v30 has no ir blaster.

LG V30 is amazing (The selfie camera and the UI could have been upgraded).

It will be interesting to see it head to head against the Note8. The similarities are many: Bezel-less, elongated 6-inchers, OLED screens, Powerful Dual-Camera's with never-seen-before specs, IP68, same 3300 mAh capacity......
