The oreo update completely stooped my Samsung galaxy S7 from working. I was forced to do a factory reset which has caused untold problems.

I updated my Samsung Galaxy S7 to Oreo today. Now all that happens is the word Samsung pulsates in the middle of the screen and the phone is very hot to touch.
The phone will not turn on or off.
        What should I do?

DON'T UPDATE TO OREO!!! If you are planning to use your phone in roaming, that is. There is a bug in Oreo (core app Mobile Carrier) from day one, disabling data transfer when you are abroad with message "Mobile data has run out". It happens all the time and is completely random and worst part is, you can't turn data transfer on in ANY way! There is "restart-force stop Mobile Carrier-flight mode on/off/on/off ...." workaround but it is erratic and don't work in most cases. Even worst, Google engineers after now 3 months didn't solved the issue but made it worst. after few updates I noticed to Mobile Carrier app, now it is almost impossible to force stop it. So, if you want a dumbphone (yes, calls and SMS works) feel free to upgrade to Oreo, but if you need navigation, Viber, WhatsApp, email, Uber, browser ... you are toasted. I still can't believe AFTER 3 MONTHS they are not solving this HUGE bug ... that is unacceptable!

Sam, 30 Sep 2017Stock android is always the best. Samsung skins it.I hate stock, because I'm using HTC.
Sense skin has a lot functionality and I hatte HTC because eliminating it's own app like HTC music, animated weather, flipping photos apps, etc... It was never slowdowns my phone.

Only Samsung with touchwiz need to be un-skinned, and even them would not get rid of lagwiz!
So why you delete your own identity HTC? You're losing it.
If I want stock, I would buy pixel not HTC phones...

lags. Customization is a word that apple is not aware of.
Basically on ios you can only change the background and even that is only static while on android you have live wallpapers.
Using and apple product was an offense to my IQ.
And if you jailbreak iPhone, it is ruined. Extremely extremely unstable.
Conclusion : crapple is for grannies and people with zero technical skills that will only take selfies and post them on fb. Actually that's the definition of the apple user lmao
On Android, if you have a brain, you can even perform DOS attacks and many other things.
Like i said, you just need a brain! Start using it for once!
You're making the humans look stupid. ..
                      Peace!

The Huawei mate 10 pro has near but all the features this article claims 8.0 is missing.

Dark theme I can enable in my settings to change the normally white settings theme to black and white, which is a nice touch.

Google lens, so Huawei's new camera uses AI already to adjust the camera settings based upon what you aim it at, like a cat, or a plant for example... Even displays a symbol to show it working

Not sure if this is what they mean but if I scroll up on my lock screen I have quick shortcuts like an iPhone in a way

And it has a theming engine built in too.

As much as people slate EMUI, it genuinely gives you so much more than stock android. I personally love it.

It really needs a dark theme now that the notification area is also light.

xXENDER FREAKXx, 28 Oct 2017Maybe because u are using the very budget low-end ones? ROFL!!!It is strange there are people using a $200 handset expecting Android to work like iOS. They shld compare on the same footing like using a flagship Android to compare since the cheapest iOS device would still cost more than a Samsung flagship because Apple handsets are basically overpriced aluminium pieces of scraps.
