Off topic: why not there should be an option for dark user interface for websites like Gsmarena. There maybe a toggle button for this. This will also be helpful for OLED screens.

Terrible update really. The clock on the lock screen looks horrendous, battery life is no better at all, and it is much harder to navigate. Icons also look ridiculous like they are trying to be too fancy.
What was the point of this? To make us waste a couple hours to re-find everything in our phones?

So there's no news about Android O’s high-quality wireless codecs, that makes you justified to ditch old fashioned 3.5mm jack for a great wireless bluetooth earphones??

i think that at the moment... who uses nouat on a GOOD custom rom like aosp extended, resurrection and similar, may wait a long time before to upgrade to oreo.
they fixed things that a PRO USER already can fix by himself, i speak about greenify... aggressive doze on the go....
i am ok with resurrection 5.8.3.....

What a shame.I'm using a fully black animated theme for my Galaxy S8, I can have any theme from the theme store. A theme will change wallpapers, icons, color scheme, settings, AOD everything. I can't imagine all this on my iPhone 7 charity product

Oreo completely ruined my battery life when tethering. This is already after a restore to new. I turned on Wi-Fi spot for only 1 hr and my battery life is down to 75%. Back on Nougat, it would be about 90% after a single delivery using voice navigation. My Pixel is extremely hot just on idle when Wi-Fi hotspot is on.
This is why I hate updating. Also on my iPhone SE, I updated Opera Mini and can't rid of the news page. If you plan on using your Pixel as a hotspot, stick to Nougat. If the battery gets so bad, I may need to sell my Pixel because this update murdered my battery life for tethering.
As I type this, it is now 71% after just 10 minutes since I last glanced at it and with LTE on and hotpot off. Beware of Oreo. Battery life is bad even after a reset.

In android you could have installed every launcher from the beginning. Do not compare iOS to android. As you said android is the most customizable OS in mobile market.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2017iOS 11 has a dark mode. The fully customizable android doesn't have that? What a shame.It depends on the brand. Per example Samsung has the black theme or Oneplus, but those are heavy customized roms, while brands that tend to go with a stock look don't (pixel, sony).
I could install a different rom and have the black theme, but i want the stock one as it is really really smooth and has no bugs or errors whatsoever. Thank you Sony!

ImJoaquinTheDog, 05 Sep 2017Just use OGYouTube, it has support for a PiP-esque downsizing of videos.Go on YouTube website using Chrome browser. Then make it full screen. Then press home and it will be there. It doesn't work all the time. It's actually better for porn sites like XVideo than for YouTube. And Google Maps does work for PiP so you can open the YouTube app and still have voice navigation at the same time.

You can order priorities of apps. You can even tell it how many notifications show up in the notification area before needing to hit more to see the rest. And of course there are some apps that let you complete tasks right on the notification.
I still think they could improve the tile UI and modernize it. It's one of the worst things for a beginner. And the app list should have switches between list view, category view etc.. So I could tap a button and get a grid view of the apps with larger icons rather than having a massive list.
