I have had mobile phones since my first was hard wired into my car and the handset on a bungee wire. NOKIA to IPHONE to ANDROIDS including Note 4. Note 8 is outstanding, holding the phone in my left and using my index figure with the fingerprint sensor is way, way easier and more practical then previous home button sensors - more often than not a two handed operation. The screen, the camera, the functionality, all eclipse any phone I have owned before. Cost is not an issue for me I could buy the latest iPhone as well but it doesn't come close to the Note 8. Thinking about getting one, don't hesitate, it is simply the best phone ever produced.

GrazzaD, 17 Sep 2017A shame Samsung bundle so much unnecessary bloatware: Microsoft apps, Amazon and others. Not good.Uninstall them. Done.
Discharge, 23 Sep 2017The note 8 is a beast but 2 bad things I dislike, 6 gb ram???? Don't think so, go to settings ... moreI'm not trying to say it's perfect, but at least pick factual things. It has 6gb of ram and finally keeps every app loaded pretty much.
And the battery life should have been way more, but is surprisingly great still
The note 8 is a beast but 2 bad things I dislike, 6 gb ram???? Don't think so, go to settings than device maintenance click clear or fix, still shows 2.4 gb??? It's only 4 or less, also the battery is terrible life...otherwise ok.on a scale 1 to 10, 10 the best I give it a 7..
For those stating the note 8 doesn't reach 1200 nits of max brightness under direct sunlight. It actually does but it's based on the battery percentage level of the device and how bright the sun is shining on the device. Samsung has specifically implemented a software mechanism of only allowing certain brightness levels at certain battery percentages and certain lighting conditions.
That's why you see different sites reporting different numbers. Displaymate tests their devices on the brightness sunlight possible or under conditions that simulate this type of brightness.
TCool, 20 Sep 2017Ok go for Lenovo Vibe P1 with whooping 5000mAh battery.i have Lenovo P1 already 2 years , still in Good Condition . good phone. but bluetooth connection is downside. S615 might also the problem. more than 1 task , the typing start sluggish.
4000mah is minimum for now day phone.
Anon, 23 Sep 2017The phone can't even fit in your jeans pocket. IAfter seeing samsungs with 6 inches all the way. 4.7 is tiny wtf. 4.7 inch only iphone and sony. And yes even with big bezels, it feels like iphone 6 has a bigger screen than galaxy a3 2017. Weird, I know.
lie, 21 Sep 2017GSM arena review showed at auto 860 nits check the review. And even when gsm showed the high maximum brightness that can be achieved others couldn't on their devices
Lie, 21 Sep 2017So display mate mentioned that note 8 can go up to 1200 nits with autobrghtiness what a lie kn... moreIt does go up to 1200 nits. The Galaxy Note 5 could go up to 860 nits and did well in direct sunlight. The S8 goes up to 1000. So the new Note 8 can easily go up to 1200. Many reviewers say it's perfectly visible in broad day light which i believe.
This may be the only phone on the market that is truly worth 1,000 dollars if you really think about it. (USA).
It offers all the top of the line specs and basically every feature imaginable, including the dreaded Bixby assistant which most people hate lol. There's not much you won't find on this device.
What really stands out is the beautiful massive 6.3 inch infinity display, optically optimized dual camera set up & S-Pen of course.. all that separates it from the rest in my opinion.
With that being said i did not pay full price for mine. I was able to get someone's email that was a previous Note 7 owner, paid them $40 so i could use it and got the $425 discount. I paid $560 including 1-day shipping and all the goodies they add. (128GB micro sd, and fast wireless charger).
Despite being the best all rounder i can't say if i would of payed full price for it or any other device. I just happened to juice the system and got it for almost half price lol.
So display mate mentioned that note 8 can go up to 1200 nits with autobrghtiness what a lie knew that they paid by Samsung to bolish Samsung crappy Amoled technology.
Why no Tagline present in this review for note 8!!
reviews by gsmarena always keep a tagline!!
TheNE1GHB0R, 21 Sep 2017Make no mistake. The Note8 is on its way to my hand from my subscription renewal. The features... moreIn two days I will get my hands on my Note 8 and I will never bring any power bank to charge it. All I need to bring is a USB type C charging cable which is smaller and lighter than the Note 3 extra batteries.
Anonymous, 19 Sep 2017well you obviously cannot have both so make a choice instead of complaining about it, Samsung ... moreMake no mistake. The Note8 is on its way to my hand from my subscription renewal. The features are what I need. Battery on the other hand will be average with 5 hours SOT. It's normal. The reviews are all in.
Zerolemon is still months away from selling the battery case it's teasing now. For the meantime, just like all sheep, I'll be carrying a powerbank for it to last a day. Far from the maximum 12 hours SOT I can get from extended batteries over a 30-hour stretch.
