QuickCharge 3.0 works just fine with A1. Tried it with my old aftermarket charger. Very fast charging etc. Too bad Xiaomi didn't provide a QC3.0 charger in the box, but oh, well, as long as it works...
On time updates and the phone is still on nougat and not oreo
This alone shows that stock android is a joke
There is a RADIO in Mi A1, found following on the internet
""Dial *#*#64663#*#* on your Xiaomi Mi A1, and it will open Hardware Test Mode on Your Device,
Now Just Scroll Down to the Bottom and Your will find FMRadio option, Just tap on that, and it will ask to insert earphone, just plug in the earphone and navigate the channels with the backward and forward button appeared on your device.""
why there are audio quality through the 3.5mm jack? its not usual for gsmarena to forget that. Especially when its one of the mia1 selling point. It say mia1 has dedicated dac n can drive up to 200ohm headphones.
There is no screen turning on while picking up the phone. Review writers, make sure you check all the detail before making the review.
Reading this review using my mi a1... So proud for using this device... One thing that i like is this amazing battery life, everyday can reach 8-9 hours of SOT 😀
The video shows that there is stereo speaker setup. Actually, it is not. I'm using it for past 2 weeks but I didn't find anything. And also Xiaomi itself doesn't mention any such thing.
How much actual free space the 64gb version offers? I've read it's less than normal due to another system-reserved partition. So is it just 50GB?
CapitaoCarioca, 12 Oct 2017If this phone had OIS or EIS it would be the best budget smartphone ever! For 250 bucks you should ask for such specs
Snapdragon 835 chip + 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM + Free 256GB Micro SD card + 6" 4K Super Amoled 500ppi Screen, Dual 24MP Camera + 24MP Front Camera + 10,000mha battery, 5 years warranty & guaranteed upgrade till Andoid Z...lol
Anonymous, 13 Oct 2017nothing wrong about miui, its great, much better then TouchWiz, better go for redmi note4 snap... moreSure, better than TouchWizz or the LGUI, but those are hardly high standards.
Once you try a Nexus/Pixel pure Google OS, its hard to deny the flair of a unified and consistent Material Design. Even lightly skinned alternatives, like in SONY's flagships are great.
However, if you must go Skinned... the gold standard still comes from Meizu and their FlymeOS. It's much more tastefully done than MIUI, more consistent, and themed throughout the experience rather than "here and there".
Overall, the Xiaomi A1 is a great device, with good OS, good hardware, good design, and a good price. That last one is key, I've noticed some people trying to sell the Xiaomi A1 at the same price as the OnePlus 5... people please shop responsibly and do not get ripped off.
Thanks for the review
I was especially interested in the 2x telephoto zoom samples which look to be better quality than Huawei's 2x hybrid zoom.
I was wondering if the GSM arena team would be interested in doing a comparison in zoom capabilities between the phones with zoom such as the iPhone 7/8 plus, galaxy note 8, xiaomi MI6 and the Huawei's with lossless zoom?
nothing wrong about miui, its great, much better then TouchWiz, better go for redmi note4 snapdragon, it has marvelous battery backup

Looks very nice, i hope Xiaomi follow that trend and maybe could release the Mi 6 or the Mi Mix 2 with stock android... personally i don't like MIUI tried it for 2 weeks, in fact that's the main reason i never bought a Xiaomi phone and don't have time to tinker and install other rom.
