Pabliell, 04 Nov 2017For me personally it is quite painful. Sometimes I need a charge when I'm listening to music. ... moreYea "sometimes". The probability of people listening to music sticking themselves to the wall plug when battery is 1%, is minuscule. Just take a 1 hour break and your phone should be charged by then or if you were so much of music headed person than you would already have a wireless earphone anyway or streamed onto your wireless speakers or you would have got the LGV30 or some other standalone music centric device. But no your just nitpicking imaginary scenarios with no real significance in real life.
And your analogy is flawed which is about problem with location of the camera being two different sides and the difficult with that, and not about someone being adamant to take a selfie when the battery is 1% and so one wants a separate pair of selfie camera that has its own battery so that you can take a selfie even when battery is 1%.

Sometimes I need a charge when I'm listening to music. Can't do it with the dongle, need a completely new adapter when there's no headphone jack.
But think about it differently. What would you say if all of the major companies decided to throw out the selfie camera? You can still make selfies with the back camera, and you'll take an even better photo because of better sensors, lenses, dual camera systems etc. But what about video chat, Skype or some other stuff? Well, there's an accessory for only $99, that will use mirrors to bend your image to the rear camera.
To be honest, there was a case for the example I made, in the past. No one liked it. Everyone liked their selfie cameras, just like many people still like the analog headphone jack. Introducing a new standard shouldn't mean throwing away the old one.
AnonD-615868, 04 Nov 2017They should better fulfill their promise of security update because I am a Huawei user and the... moreMy Mate 9 has gotten updates every single month I've been using it. Yes, it has always been a month behind in security patches (compared to Pixels), but still - monthly updates for me, almost like with my old Nexus 6. Very weird, I expected NOT to get updates or at least not this often. I guess Huawei is really trying to improve their update-game, which is obviously much-needed knowing their history on the matter.
They should better fulfill their promise of security update because I am a Huawei user and they suck on such update. Very poor support

Just look at the difference in battery life, give me battery over 2k anytime. There's a reason there are so few 2k lcd phones, max for lcd should be fullhd, the battery trade off is too great.

And all this complaining because you now have to plug your earphone from the 3.5mm jack to the usb-c jack ? How painful is that ?
L0lip0p, 04 Nov 2017For the glass, i think maybe because of the scratch issue, plastic can scratch pretty much as ... moreThat's complete nonsense. I've only had plastic phones and i never use cases. Never had scratched back. Sure some plastic can easily be scratched, but not if it's made the way it should. And glass will always be more prone to scratches so there is zero advantage, only disadvantages.
Battery life is better, but i expected higher tbh out of a 1080p amoled screen 4000mah phone. At least it's better than the regular mate 10. However, no expandable memory and no 3.5mm jack easily make it non-viable.
Just another dongle phone. Such an idiotic tendency to remove 3.5 mm jack even among manufacturers never noticed in doing customer hostile things.
GSMarena staff , going a little bit offtopic . Please do a review of the IPhone X. Even though we all know the details . We would like to see the performance benchmark comparisons and minor camera changes

Firstly - the glass back. It looks nice, a... moreFor the glass, i think maybe because of the scratch issue, plastic can scratch pretty much as soon as it came out of the box and that's not good, and when repairs, there's concern about using heatgun to pry open the back, plastic will either melt, deformed or it will just break and left a plastic bit around the glued area
glass is better choice, yup it will break but the replacement part is jut like $10 or something
Side note: the battery endurance though, something rare in flagship
