ApplePen, 08 Nov 2017better than ever, best phone of the year and countingXzp destroy best smartphone year to half gas
another year, another junk. bezel-less phones are mostly gorgeous like Samsung or Huawei, but this is by far the ugliest bezel-less.
yawakaboangaka, 09 Nov 2017Do you expect headphone jack ? really?
Don't you know apple stopped the headphone jack on the 7? Agree, this is the only part iphone up to date.
Motorola finger print since 2011,
Iris scan on fujitsu arrows,
Ip67 on defy 2010,
Dual camera on htc
Apple will never be able to explain why they didn't include a 3d touch always on under display home button like the galaxy S8. The swipe made it the worst usability device ever. It's really the worst way to go out of videos and games. A 3d touch home button as seen in S8 could be life saver for iPhone x.
Very nice. Enjoyed the read. Just a pity really the rush on this IOS and its unease of use areas. Like a lot of new things, the 2nd generation is better, so for me and $1.4K I will wait till 2018. Also curious to see the pending punchy Nokia 9.
Seems like Apple has become android / Samsung and Samsung /Android have become Apple
Top notch hardware finally and a very functional face id

On the contrary, only a few phones in real life would last 9 hours of browsing and iPhones are certainly not one of them. But it doesn't matter how unrealistic the tests are because they are done under the same conditions, so if one phone is better/worse than another in the tests, then it it.

ApplePen, 09 Nov 2017why so much hate with the headphone jack when other OEM's already taken them out ?embrace the ... moreWhat's special or better about a dongle vs. 3.5mm jack??? is it offering any better quality?? It's the same audio, then why should they(not just apple) remove it? Are people that stupid to not see the so-called "Evolution" only means trying to create a market for 160$ AirPods that "coincidentally" happen to launch same year as that of removal of headphone jack?? Same sh*t with Google, they want to sell Pixel Pods for 160$, there's nothing special about wireless headphones barring that exorbitant price tag for worse or at best comparable audio quality to that of wired headphones, and the cult of Apple seems to not notice this.... It's new means of revenue where manufacturers are wondering what else can they do to make more profits with the decline in sales and all...
ApplePen, 09 Nov 2017why so much hate with the headphone jack when other OEM's already taken them out ?embrace the ... moreBecause:
1. Bluetooth still doesn't provide the same audio quality that the headphone jack provides, not to mention it drains the battery even faster. Plus you have to charge to two devices (the bluetooth earphones + the phone itself), creating more e-waste.
2. Removing the headphone jack creates more wear on the USB-C or lightning port by repeatedly plugging the earphones, compared to having a dedicated headphone jack. More wear on the USB-C or lightning port = earlier replacement and premature failure.
AnonD-115822, 09 Nov 2017Apple has been very generous with the iPhone X , 1200€ you get 3Gb Ram in order to be obsolete... moreMy iphone 6 has only 1GB of ram,yet is as fast as any 2017'en android in what's matter=day to day working tasks.Granted am not gamer, the phone is working(calls, emails, remainders, few specific app)tool for me.
And any electronic device these days will get obsolet in 3 years time, its "how well" serves those years that matters. And Apple is unmatched here.
But right now, the iPhone X feels like a rushed product with beta software, overhyped and overpriced. -GSM Arena
