Just wait for the proper updates and all can change. The hardware is there just wait for the proper software. No has this phone yet but everyone here decided against it. Just based on one review?. Shame on you guys.
What a Crappy Phone! I thought that the lack of the 3.5mm headphone was to be it's main disadvantage, but alas.....
With an IGZO panel, a good brightness was to be guaranteed, but 223 nits? Even cheap laptops have screens brighter than that. For all the 120Hz talk, what's the use if you don't have decent brightness. Contrast is poor too as is the sunlight constrast ratio.
Ok, so atleast with the low brightness IGZO panel and that 4000 mAh panel, maybe the battery endurance will be a saving grace? With a pathetic 63 hours, let that thought stay in you dreams......Atleast QuickCharge 4.0 is there.....
As for raw CPU and GPU performance, the Razer phone isn't much worse than the current SD 835 crop, then again it doesn't have a clear advantage either. The Note8 and OnePlus and the some other flagships, easily capable of matching and probably even slightly exceeding the Razer's prowess.
And as we saw the 120fps implementation for games is half-baked and it still only exists mostly in theoretical scenarios rather than real-life ones. And that fault may not necessarily be with Razer. But the missed opportunity to play 120fps videos is Razer's sole fault since it would have been much more straightforward to implement that using a native app. So is the glaring omission to record high-frame rate (not even 60fps) videos on a screen with 120Hz refresh rate.
The camera could be called okay/average/fine.
Some superb loudspeakers though.
Should have tested it on 10hz and 360p so we can see better battery performance
Kurt, 12 Nov 2017In two months the speaker grilles will be full of sweat, grease, dust and who knows what else,... moreHow gross! It could even end smelling really bad along the time.
The review does't include the small letter in the presentation that mentioned the test conditions. Their battery tests were with only 25% of volume, at determined brightness. If you want to enjoy the sound power with the two amplifiers. The battery will drain as fast as your pleasure watching how decrease its level all the time on the icon.

All you need is device, that you have here, and aplications and games. Thats all.
Daydream is just brand name that google made up

And now the review comes out, shows us the results, and it is "AMAZING" XD
In two months the speaker grilles will be full of sweat, grease, dust and who knows what else, with much of the holes clogged. And when you try to clean them everything will fall inside to never come out.

Akinaro, 12 Nov 2017Really average if not bad review. GSMA really lack information about usage, we have just lots ... moreVR sounds like a good idea for sure, but again, on paper. Razer does not currently offer any solution. The Razer Phone is not officially Daydream certified. Which VR setup exactly do you want us to test?
Also, we would love suggestions as to how exactly to go about fooling any possible VR app into running at a high frame rate.
Really average if not bad review. GSMA really lack information about usage, we have just lots of plain data.
For example this 120hz will be amazing with VR, and what we have about VR test? nothing.
Sharp user, 12 Nov 2017hmm, let me rephrase my previous comment then put some space, and add some numbers: 1. just... moreI agree. In some points (let's say true - in any) this review is negativity biased. Prove? Let's look what they say about camera aperture. And compare with other similar duall-camera aperture,s, iPhones for example. Telephoto lens aperture everywhere is similar. But only here they noticed that and complains. It's a shame. I agree about other things - screen isn't pervect, power consumption is high etc etc. But too much they noticed as fail but in other phones we see the same or close to and everything is ok.
I WILL PICK HUAWEI MATE 10, MATE 10 PRO anytime over this. but will definitely wait for future editions. have taken many first time launches and they are full of bugs/software issues/hardware issues etc,. mate 10 kicks razr phone all sides. still appreciate the efforts rzr made. have been a huge fan of theirs. keep it up
xXENDER FREAKXx, 12 Nov 2017I wonder how they can achieve such good results for battery life when they mentioned that duri... morehmm, let me rephrase my previous comment then put some space, and add some numbers:
1. just like expected, I'm quite disappointed with gsma review, unfortunately gsma cannot explore (or finding more) the experience using 120Hz refresh rate more further than just buttery smooth when scrolling.
2. This phone has poor battery life, maybe Razer should take a look on the software and make it more efficient.
-120Hz refresh rate screen (super fluid animations and near lifelike motions) with QHD resolution
-dual front stereo speakers with fantastic sound quality
-extremely fast charging
-low brightness screen with possibly one of the most inaccurate colors
-weak battery life for so-called "gamer's phone"
-no 3.5mm glory hole thing
-no Ingress Protection
CM3, 12 Nov 2017iPhone X can't do 120Hz. OLEDs aren't capable of it.Sorry meant iPad Pro and iPad 10 my bad.
As expected. Corners were cut for that fancy display. I'll wait for V2 I believe. When they fix up their mess
Far from impressive, games need power and 62h seriously week, addition RAM just chinese phone marketing, performance just standard
