AnonD-368020, 21 Nov 2017No, they actually do provide software updates needed by community members. That is one of the ... moreIn OP5,
OxygenOS 4.5.8 was rolled out to OP5 to vastly improve the EIS for 4K video recording and to reduce the shudders and shakes when filming at Ultra HD resolution. It did improve overall cam performance but the end results were nowhere near top performing flagship phones.
In OxugenOS 4.5.10, update was provided to reduce noise in 60 fps videos and also improved textures in camera stability. End result was not satisfactory as even after consecutive updates as overall cam performance was far lagging behind other top tier flagships.
In OxygenOS 4.5.11, update was provided to fix several bugs and it brought performance improvements to the handset. - No cam performance update here.
In OxygenOS 4.5.12, it fixed bugs related to missing icon of Download app in 4.5.11, gave option to customisation of notification ringtone and improved launching speed of apps. It also improved optimised adaptive brightness, fixed issue of YouTube video lagging behind audio, and display issues of some UI elements. - NO cam performance update here.
And now we have OP5T with a mediocre rear camera setup that fails to deliver even close to the same old other flagships.
@Obivan has said what i wanted to say about camera in last paragraph.
No , i am not against OnePlus 5T or OP , the phone is just excellent in day to day work , cost cutting to not incIP68 , no expandable storage is also adjustable , but the camera is not , & should have been an upgrade , not sensor wise , maybe using IMX 398 (16Mp) as 2nd sensor , making it telephoto 2x , and OIS would have been great , atleast take it closer to pixel 2 , note 8 if not same caliber , Ok , even if IMX358K ( Is it right ) - 20Mp sensor is used it should have been at least like OP5 arrangement ( All these doubts were raised in GSMArena review also ) , or worst if low light was required a Monochrome + RGB alongwith 4 pixel stuff like 5t would achieve more , apart from being fun to use. Right now the OP5t has better low light then OP5 , other than portrait & bokeh nothing else to show for special dual cam. In all other aspect phone is just excellent, ofcourse the camera is excellent then most other ( Not all ) mid range phones , the only competition being from Moto G5s if at all. But most of them are also priced lesser then 5t including Moto X4 dual setup.
New phone from one plus 5t
Hope it will have new spying feature and advanced tracking feature of the buyer
As seen in previous phone
As a matter of fact if they increase their price it will bomb this time

OnePlus OP BRO
I feel like you should have offered the Nokia 8 as an alternative. If you're going to go with one phone that is the same price (OnePlus 5) and 3 phones that are more expensive, why not a phone that is a bit cheaper and performs quite well relative to both OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T.
I had all the flagship phones and I never trust any reviewrs.
How come mate 10 and 10 pro rated to have hood cameras when they record videos in H265 at tiny 20 bits per second.
Galaxy caneras are crap. Yellowish tint that make protraits ugly.
V30 low light are bad and good light washed out.
Not sure these professional reviwers if they really know enough to review phones.
AnonD-59047, 21 Nov 2017Beats all the popular phones but is behind Sony's xz premium in terms of speed and fluidity. sou but true
Virtually every flagship phone sporting a water and dust proof IP67/IP68 costs a lot more than OP5T. If one plus charged around $ 700- $900, then tge phone would definitely sport an IP67/68 water and dust protection, not to say a 2K AMOLED screen

But from what I saw in speed test one ... moreAs if it were very important to open an application one second faster or one second slower when the OP customers usually lose more time benchmarking than all the time it's phone can save them in it's whole life. And add then the time losed watching speed comparatives and strutting in front of friends.
Beats all the popular phones but is behind Sony's xz premium in terms of speed and fluidity.
Anonymous, 21 Nov 2017Im not one plus troll IÂ’m not using even one plus lol. But from what I saw in speed test one ... moreDid you ever used such phones or your friends hav them? I'm pretty sure - never. Otherwise you'd never say that things. OnePlus is over. There is nothing now to compare others in 5t. Even price. If you used 150-200$ phones - OnePlus maybe can feel like something amazing. But hold Xiaomi, Honor, Zte phones in your arms. They are better in quality and design and costs much cheaper. OnePlus good only in marketing, stoling data, decline warranty and - yes, paid bots, trolls and reviews. And it's ridiculous how people think these fake numbers tells about phone. Look ar screen resolution first. It's low. That's why we can see high framerate in tests. Use SGS8 and reduce resolution - framerate will be not worse. Just OP tricks again for uneducated people.

Well for a SAME price S8 is bringing headphones included in the box, just like 200€ more expensive LG v30...and you should mention that to in final conclusion..
just pay 100 euros more for galaxy s8 and get IP68, qHD display, wireless fast charging and better camera.
In the camera comparison tool, in the good light color poster, have a look at the circle below the "£10" in the top left corner. It captures all the tiny circles of the original bill in AMAZING detail. Much more so than the Pixel 2, iPhone 8+/X, Note8 or even the Lumia 950, which came closest so far. I mean, the camera captures real detail, and does not artificially create edges by oversharpening, like the Samsung's tend to do. This alone speaks in favour of the chosen dual camera setup.
Even in the low light color poster, a lot of detail is retained, though the blurring+sharpening effects are more evident. The Pixel 2 image are softer but look less processed, the iPhone X image has higher contrast and better gradients but less detail, and the Note8 image is perfectly sharp, yet does not have more detail (look at the map), and the colours are rathr dull. All in all, I think this dual camera setup has clear strengths, though it may not be as flexible as arrangements with a telephoto lens.
From 4.6 stars of the OnePlus 5 review to 4.2 stars for OnePlus 5T. That's does not sound great for a "upgrade".
Lack of SD card is a bummer as is the lack of IP ratings.
But more importantly, the 3.5 mm jack is alive. Good battery endurance too. Great lean software although Oreo would have been more welcome.
That's 2 manufacturers (iPhone X and OnePlus 5T) taking Samsung's AMOLED and getting superb sunlit legibility. I guess the S9 has no excuse now to produce a 5.0+ score.
It is also interesting to see how powerful the SD821 in the OP 3T is compared to the OP 5T. I don't know whether that is down to benchmark cheating by the former.
The Weather interface is beautiful. Almost like Monument Valley.
The camera department is confusing. The Bokeh's in the Portrait mode are good, but they could have been achieved with an additional Telephoto lens too. On top pf losing the nifty lossless zoom, the low-light images aren't much better either. There's hardly any difference in the quality. The Note8's image is much better, while the Pixel 2 performs similarly albeit with more noise. Poor panoramas. Portraits look great, while selfie portraits look truly a class apart from the competitions, more likely due to wider FoV.

They rather c... moreNo, they actually do provide software updates needed by community members. That is one of the the strength of one plus brand. For OP5 also camera was very bad particularly for video recording but they released update for software stabilization and it's one of the best. So they will update camera to its full potential without a doubt. 6 months to work on a single model is more than enough.
