Certainly not a bad phone. I'd never personally buy any Oppo or Vivo Phones because they lack originality. The forked Android version of Oppo & Vivo is highly iOS inspired but with Android flavours without iOS restrictions. It's good to see phones with pure Dual SIM slots as well as a dedicated SD card slot. MediaTek Helio P23 chipset supports Dual 4G with VoLTE enabled on both SIM slots and that's what I like. Even though I won't keep both my SIMs on 4G with VoLTE enabled all the time (obviously to save on battery life), I'd like to have that as an option to use when needed. Hope Qualcomm and Samsung (Exynos) will add support for Dual 4G with VoLTE enabled on their upcoming chipsets..

I have oppo neo7 it has double tap features that lock and unlock your phone, I frequently change font also. Unfortunately, these features are no longer available in oppo f5.

older usb port is an advantage, not a disavantage since the vast majority of accessories anyone has in home, at work, in car... still use old port. There was absolutely no need to change port type rendering useless all chargers, cables and such (unless you use other annoying adapters)

Previously never expected that going to happen.
Must be some secret ingredient that Mediatek put in this chipset and I bet the geekbench 4.1 M_core will get above 4300 scoremark.

Now time to say goodbye to all Snapdragon 625 phone.....

Great battery life. And that selfie camera is very good in decent light. We sure have come a long way since grainy selfies. Beauty Mode seems to be doing a perfect job of removing all the blemishes on the subject's face.....

Just another phone by oppo in 300$ segment without fast charging, no USB type C support. Not a snapdragon processer and they want you to believe that selfie focused phone is all you need not other specs are of too importance. Better go for galaxy A5(2017) with up68 certification and good camera, fast charging support, exynos 7880 processer. Or simply pay less for moto g5s plus or xiaomi m1a1.

Oppo price is closer to samsung, so its not about it being too expensive.
It's either greed for more profit by cutting manufacturing cost by leaving fastcharging and usb-c out.
Or most possibly bad decision from the higher up expecting "larger micro -usb market" and decide to forgo the "premium look" of usb-c despite the fact its pretty expensive mid ranger.
I mean the price is pretty close to A5, XA1, and above J7 in my place, if i had to suggest which one people should take at that price i'll suggest A5 or J7.
