Like I always said elsewhere, it's overpowered SoC means nothing if the software cannot make most of it. CPU bound scenarios are rarely found on smartphone use cases (unless you're a vlogger and you prefer editing and rendering directly on smartphone, of course), even it's hindered by bad UX. That's why I don't care no matter how good Apple SoC in benchmark apps, it won't be able to replicate rich experiences that Android gives.
I like your long term review - day to day niggles & irritating aspects. I was very tempted by the advanced camera aspects but having to constantly use face ID for operationbhas defjnitely put me off.

Best Phone Award: Samsung Galaxy S9 and The People's Choice Award: Samsung Galaxy S9.
"More than a match for Apple's iPhone X, as well as every other Android device on the market, the Samsung Galaxy S9 was the star product of Mobile World Congress 2018."
AnonD-473024, 27 Mar 2018"It looks like a kid's phone" yet 20 chinese companies copied the design lolNot all android have shitty cameras......Samsung have good cameras and most especially Google Pixel 2 has the best camera for now..
And if I'm correct, I believe FaceID don't work on identical twins with exactly the same face...…..but it's impossible for two people to have the same fingerprint...….I think fingerprint scanner is better than FaceID
This iphone has no charging cable? right? how can i used battery bank in case of emergncy? how can i charge while in transit or in the road while in travel where i need immidiate power?
I am kind of control-freak and more comfortable with the phone that I can customize as much as I want, which is definitely not iphone upon which apple has strict permission to customize.
Anonymous, 27 Feb 2018Why would you want to unlock your phone with a photo of yourself? I think you have too low sta... moredude, are you serious? Android is high maintenance? or are you just one of those who has very little knowledge on how to use Android? why are you going so far when I'm merely speaking of the FP vs Face ID? when or where did I mention unlocking with a pic? did you forget that a 10yo unlocked his mom's IPX via Face ID? I can't have an iPhone? I used most of the iPhones side by side with my Androids, so I think, I THINK I can at least give my 2 cents about this. and saying that Android can't be used for professional users with real jobs? what the heck are you trying to say? what's a 'real' job? are you discriminating people based on their salary range? or?? that itself is stupid enough man...

AnonD-473024, 27 Mar 2018Note 8 costs $950 while X costs $999. I don't know where'd you get that $400-$600 differenceHe clearly said in "my place", meaning his country that isn't the USA
I own both iPhone X and Samsung S9. It is true that iPhone X in a way is greater than Samsung phone... But it has quite a few bugs of its own. When I bought the Samsung S9, I found it quite easy and a little bit lesser bugs than iPhone X. I do acknowledge the fact that Apple has been creating good products with top-notch security, iPhone X is no exception and also has this security. The only problem is the Home Bar and Face ID. I tend to play a lot of games so I find the Home Bar to be quite annoying. Face ID works quite well for me, maybe an 8/10 rating. It is quite difficult to open up your phone in the dark, but with patience, FaceID will work in almost any situations. I have to agree the fact that iPhone X is the start of the new generation phones... So if you're all up for the hype and excitement, then I do recommend it. But if you yourself need a proper functional phone, I recommend just getting iPhone S7, and if you want a newer and better version, the Samsung S9. Both phones are excellent, but can only fit a specific group's taste and use for the phone.
