Anonymous, 27 Jan 2018Use photo comparison tool, better than iphoneOnly stills in good light are better, and that is only if you don't mind some digital noise, so its better only in sunny conditions. Well, if its enough for you...
AnonD-246723, 27 Jan 2018Those flagship would probably carry double or triple the price .mmm... I meant to write there are flagships with Worse endurance. Of course such amount is not bad, even among xperia flagships :)
For the price one can get much better deals, honor 9, galaxy s7.
XA2 main camera position is ugly.
Anonymous, 27 Jan 2018X Permormance over XA2 is just cpu/gpu, ip68, 64GB and stereo
XA2 has 4k video, way bigger ... moreYeah, well....much stronger SoC, better audio and stereo on X Perf are IMO better bang for same buck.
Stronger SoC also gives out more from the same camera and sound tech.
Its just a matter of what one prefers over the other.
This will most probably get the future android release, X Perf I hope update to Oreo 8.1 (hope so, as it seems Oreo 8.0 is worse on battery than 8.1 on any device, had 7.5 hr SoT with 7, now 6.5 hr SoT with 8, there are discussions about 8.1 rectifying that)
AnonD-580901, 27 Jan 2018Hope the flagships don't have a fingerprint on the back to cater to the American market. Nobod... moreIt was said that new flag will have 3 things never yet seen in mobile. One is said to be camera related.
Other two is by my guess 4.4 mm jack ( and dedicated DAC probably), and inbuilt screen fp sensor jdi just developed.
some guy, 27 Jan 2018171g is so heavy AND it's not fully metal body! my Nexus 5x is 136g wow how did they do it in ... moreObviously they did it by giving you 2gb ram and 60h endurance and plastic build .
Tann Hauser, 27 Jan 2018Kinnda agree.
For ex, Xperia X that is even going to get Oreo soon, for 250 now, or even X Pe... moreX Permormance over XA2 is just cpu/gpu, ip68, 64GB and stereo
XA2 has 4k video, way bigger battery, bigger and newer screen ( probably same of XZs). Will have longer support.
some guy, 27 Jan 2018171g is so heavy AND it's not fully metal body! my Nexus 5x is 136g wow how did they do it in ... moreOverprize? Nooo in vodafone or Orange will cost 8 euros per month with free headphone or bluetooth speaker bonus.
Or online en yaphone.net 285 euros.
There are no cheaper phones with these features and quality.
Other cheaper phones do not have that quality of screen or camera, or bluetooth 5.0, or nfc, or cast, or camera, or fluency etc
Dedicated camera button is nice, I usually half press hold to focus on the object then pan for framing layout and press finish the camera button to release shutter, it really capture what I want. Qnovo battery charging technology prolong the battery lifespan it is wonderful you no need to worry the battery degradation
Hope the flagships don't have a fingerprint on the back to cater to the American market. Nobody there will buy it. They have iPhone and Samsung mania
171g is so heavy AND it's not fully metal body! my Nexus 5x is 136g wow how did they do it in 2015?! Gorilla Glass is unspecified version?! Sony still does not understand how to make a midrange phone! so many other phones are cheaper AND have metal body. XA2 is overpriced no wonder why Sony is struggling with phone making
nothing-, 27 Jan 2018Oh really? I am waiting for a speed comparison between this device and your S8 and lets see if... moreSure hahahaha.
Btw, there's also a word "features" and you know, that's what matters to some people. Design too, and build quality.
[deleted post]Oh really? I am waiting for a speed comparison between this device and your S8 and lets see if you're phone holds up to this midrange device.
[deleted post]Sony never ceases to disappoint..... Sony haters :p
That XA2 is a very complete package, the only thing that I find strange is the sound quality with an external amplifier.
But great start for 2018!
Fearghast, 27 Jan 2018I was considering this phone for my wife, but seeing a just ok battery (for Sony phone and bat... moreKinnda agree.
For ex, Xperia X that is even going to get Oreo soon, for 250 now, or even X Performance with Oreo, for 300-350 now, are better choices...
For same prices, older flagships are indeed better choices than new midrangers.
