Great guys!!! this is something that this perfect sight was missing. Many times I wondered why don't you do this raitings which is among the basic and most important things in a phone. I would recomed to do this testing for every phone you review and to expand the list... keep up the good work...

Yah, I second Nitesh's request to add a "Loudest Phones of all time" ranking, which may encourage manufacturers to actually improve the sound quality of them... :D Sorry Nitesh to confuse you with Nokia and SE frother (err, fan) the poster/email links at the bottom of the post confused me :P

I was waiting for a review for loudness for speakerphones to come along for a long time, honestly, the 360 spin is nice and the music quality is definitely useful, but i wanna know how my cell phone actually functions as a phone, haha. So well done, and make sure you do your tests on the W550i so we can compare it to the Nokia 6233. I own a W550i in addition to my current k550 which i'm in love with, and I'm wondering if the male voice aspect covers the bass which most tinny speakers lack... that may be why the Nokia 6233 and Sony W550i sound the loudest? Thoughts?

And OMG Nitesh please use some periods in yer sentences cause you do have useful info but dang it's really hard to read run-on sentences you know what i mean thank you. :D

GSM, you have an amazing site, keep up the great work!

A brilliant job by GsmArena , especially for the loudspeaker test...I was waiting for such a system to come up...Some questions and suggestions:
          1) How do you test the loudness of a stereo speaker phone?? Take for example the N95 - its got 2 side speakers.. so where do you place the meter thingy??
2)Why dont you make a list of the loudest phones ever?? I'm pretty sure for a fact that the Nokia 6233 is one of the loudest i've heard... Even the N73 M.E. comes pretty close to it...This will definitely gather a lot of attention..

Thanks a lot again for introducing the loudness tests!!!

GSMarena forget big difference between stereo speaker and mono speaker for e.g for testing stereo speaker they might have put meter in between the speakers rather than in front of speaker hence phone with stereo speaker have low dB rating on the other hand they might put mic of dB measuring meter straight in front of mono Speaker (say w960i) it self hence they got better DB rating even worlds most loudest phone approved by wikipedia (6233) scores only 70db is it posible coz 6500 has only one high quality speaker hence they have put mic of meter straight to front of speaker thus it scores highest 85db even if they measure stereo speaker by placing mic in front of any one speaker the loudness of other speaker is wasted eveyone knows samsung speaker quality is poor (except f300,d900i) compare to Nokia and SE still it scores better compare to two high quality speakers it is almost imposible to test stereo speaker loudness using Db meter having only one mic also GSM arena forget to put equilizer on full blast coz Nokia 6233 is loudest of all at full blast on presets its loudness is below the loudness of SE's Loudest phone W550i on full blast Nokia 6233 is louder than w550i this is same in case of N81 all the reviewer said like (smape.com ,mobipedia.com) said it is worlds most loudest phone still it scores only 75Db thats very low considering there are two speakers rather than one.

W550i is not loudest phone it loses with 6233 when equilizers are on full blast my 3 friends have w550 and its quite popular among teemagers here. Although on presets equilizer Nokia 6233 don't seem loudest of all and i'm sure they have tested speaker at preset equilizer coz on full blast nothing come close to Nokia 6233 except 6290 and w550i don't know about N81.

Great addons guys but do you REALLY need to put the "gsm arena" logo thingy on each one of the 360° spins? thats just cheap publicity mates.
am a fan of the site too but THAT is overdoing it.
                    cheers

"Very nice, but as a developer, what would really be useful is the Java related specs. Things like:
                      *JSRs supported (eg JSR-82)
*keyCode values for the soft keys as these change widely across handsets eg SE left soft key = -6, right soft key = -7, but motorola LSK = -21 or 21, and RSK = -22 or 22) etc
*media types supported in Java and NOT ringtone formats. things like amr, x-smaf, wav, mp3, midi, etc.

All easily retrieved through querying the phones Java."

Agree but that's where you should end up staring at developer sites where certain developer-related spec sheets are offered. btw, GSMArena is meant for the mass people which are touted as "End Users" and majority of them don't know as much as you know in technicalities :)

                                    GSM Arena...

                                    No offence but absolute rubbish.

Not even one Motorola in there... very biased and typical of your site in my honest opinion. Did'nt even bother to read the thing cos noticed immediately that ya'll only did the usual fanboy type reviews.

I notice u let the positive comments remain so maybe ya'll would let this one remain too and not delete it?

                                    Regards...

The idea of rotating is the greatest of all. It gives a chance to have a feel of a handset, as if you were holding it in your hands.

Just once recommendation, I think it would be better if you could rotate the devices by holdings the mouse button.
