This phone is actually very good, but only in 2018 - 2023, after 2024, this phone experiences several things such as bugs, decreased performance, and increased temperature.
If you buy this phone in 2025 and beyond, I suggest you don't, just buy another phone that is better.
This is my experience as a Redmi Note 5 Pro user for 7 years (2018 - present)

I've been using this phone since June 2019 and it's been a wild ride. It was a great choice and continues to serve despite being 5 years old. Volume up and power button died about 3 years ago, and the camera quality decreased. But considering its age, I think it held up quite well. Currently looking at Redmi Note 13 Pro but I'll probably keep using it until a big discount appears.

It is one of the best mobile. I said it because i am using this model from 26th Jan 2019 to today. Quality manufacturing and functioning of all the aspects are superb. It's my honest review.

Hi redmi note 5 pro users I'm thinking of buying this phone second hand how's the display anf camera quality I've used redmi 7 but the curved and drop notch is not my thing thinking of going back in time the good old days

Beautiful mobile with less bezels..wonderful crisp notch free screen and buttery smooth functionality.excellent cameras..in 2020 at price point of 11,900 its one of the best mobiles with aluminium body like apple mobile.

Impressed with redmu note 3, I made a biggest mistake to buy redmi note 5 pro.. worst experience since last 14-15 months
1. Worst user interface, the home button is on screen to increase screen size but user always tends to press home instead of space and very irritating
2. Some months back and update effectively put a bug, USB is not recognized in any windows computers making this phone useless ..only way you communaye and transfer is WiFi email or other means, web WhatsApp etc..tried many solutions all useless and time waste
3. WiFi hotspot stopped working some months ago ..
4. You type a message in YouTube or try enter otp code, you minimize to check the message you need to restart ... Overall junk piece ..DO NOT RECOMMEND

I've had both and the upside to the MiA2Lite is the batterytime and the OS. The downside is the god-awful notch. RedmiNote5Pro has a better screen and no notch. Really good battery in this one as well.
