AnonD-170381, 20 Feb 2018Seem like its a cross breed among galaxy s8 iphone x and lg g6Illegitimate son of galaxy s8 & iphone X, and half-brother of G6 😀
Its a shame it doesnt have 4g band 28. Still waiting xiaomi.
I dont really care about the phone using micro usb as opposed to type C, its a minor inconvenience in a smashing phone.
The SOC itself makes it worth the price. I dont see any other phone in the price range with a comparable SOC, apart from older flagships from 2016-17.
* back camera superb, depth analyser give edge to edge clarity , (better than mi A1, honor 7x, only little bit problems in low light photos)
*there is no competitor available now in Front camera features in this price range ,really valuable
* 2.5D curved Corning® Gorilla® Glass FHD+ 18:9 display looks greate , curved edges pretty good. buy black color (but not exactly bezzel less compared to other phones and not mention the version of gorilla glass used , phone size also big compared to 5.9 inch mobiles)
*sd636 new and faster processor, supports heavy gaming, no lag( LPDDR4X ram), heat effect also less
* no fast charging support ( take 2.30 hrs to charge)
* video recording is the best part it supports EIS, you can take videos without any shake effects (4k recording will available future not confirmed)
at this price range (14000) it is worth buying phone compared to competitors, never disappoint
AnonD-80360, 21 Feb 2018so please don't buy...simpleWho would really pick type c over stuff like sd636/18:9 screen etc. The internet is really haha. Sony made this exact compromise with the xa2, no prize for guessing how that would sell compared to this.
And no gsm stop trying to push them to stock android. Stock android is fugly. You ask those people who don't bother going to websites like yours to choose and they would never choose stock android look! Just no! Stop trying to ruin things, all the websites have been pushing stock android for ages yet the average consumer never buys them. Google would do better doing focus groups with casual users instead of listening to online feedback.
Just look at iphone x gestures, google should have added that to 8.1 the instant they saw it, instead the manufacturers have to hack android and produce less than ideal compromises. At the least they should add support for a forward button so it's easier for manufacturers to implement the gestures. Who knows how long it'll take them to add this now. Just something simple like iphone style background app control took from android 5-8.
Sun Sand, 20 Feb 2018This is 2018 and still no "USB C", sorry not interested..!!!so please don't buy...simple
"This phone still doesnt have..."
See the price and compare it to other similarly speced one.
]f you're still holding onto a Redmi Note 3 then this would be a good time to upgrade..... But i love my fast redmi note3 pro...sill works great 😚. Satisfy compare with lg and Samsung.
Xiaomi phone cameras mostly get a favourable review here but my friends are complaining about the quality. The photos on their phones also do not look impressive to me. I wonder who's right.
i m soo gonna buy this phone :)
good job xiaomi
Voxter, 20 Feb 2018Well, they not only copied the camera's hump and external design plus copied from Apple the no... moreThey can't copy the cameras of the iPhone, this would make the device expensive :)
I don't care about USB Type C, i wait to buy this device
did you forgot redmi pro ? launched back in 2016 ?
that's the first redmi with dual camera.
The best $220 phone with ANTUTU score ~"113000" so far.
Great job Xiaomi..
Even samsung, sony, oppo, huawie cant beat this price.
I tried the new Galaxy A8+ = and its completely rippoff
from sammy for $440 price.
Sammy give such a weak performance phone for premium price.
Never never again buy samsung product.
Looks amazing, here is one hoping the 6x/A2 is going to be as great.
MIUI is tolerable once you install Nova Launcher and an Oreo theme in the MIUI theme app. Sure, you don't get Oreo, but you get great hardware, a UI that looks more stock than other OEMs, at an awesome price. As phone prices continue to increase, all of my future phones will be from Xiaomi. Plus, custom ROMs always come to the popular Redmi Notes after a few months.
"If you bought a Redmi Note 4 last year, then you can probably skip this year but if you're still holding onto a Redmi Note 3 then this would be a good time to upgrade"
Well actually it's more like other way around at least regarding performance.
Wake me up when A1 2018 gets announced.
Anonymous, 20 Feb 2018Well they don't charge 1000 USD for a phone, so there's that.. not having fast charger in sub ... morethere's that, but the most important thing is, the time-consuming battery charging should be more appreciated as the battery will not wear as fast as recent battery with ridiculously fast charger.
Remember, there is NO revolutionary change over battery technology since 10 years ago, so having big-capacity battery coupled with last year's 10w fast charger is the "sure kill" strategy.
CMIIW, doesn't QC 2.0 charging output around 18w (2A, 9v)? Because I from what I read, QC 3.0 only offers slight improvement over 2.0, and that's not about the output current as it is exactly the same 18w.
