Friendly Reminder: It is IMPOSSIBLE to have a completely bezelless phone and retain the front camera(s), earpiece/speaker, and IR/light/proximity sensors without resorting to the notch. The technology simply isn't there.
I mean, look at the the Xiaomi Mi Mix. It has gotten so close, BUT
- You had to INVERT your phone to use the front camera because your palm covered it.
- And Xiaomi had to used fancy tech which vibrates the entire screen so you can hear who you're calling. That means ZERO PRIVACY and concentration of sound; everyone can hear your conversations.

My take it will be down to either Redmi Note 5 or Zenfone 5.
Gotta wait for the pricing for the ZF5 and make comparison.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2018Their ZF3 and ZF4 are both rubbish, full of bugs and bloatware that were not fixed for months.... moreCompare to miui, miui has alot bugs rather than zenui. 😅 I prefer return to zenui, i regret use miui b'cuz lack of software support. It's better asus support zf3 from MM to Oreo. Yet Xiaomi neglect many of their 2016 devices without any software support.

I love the design of Asus zenfone 5 and zenfone 5 2018 because of the shiny rear design like zenfone 3, although someone say copy iPhone X but I think this phone has the best design than Xiaomi and Vivo, i just don't like screen is too big, at least in my opinion zenfone 5 has 5,5 inch
and zenfone 5z has 5,8 inch.
Make me surprised is the right difference of zenfone max & lite is battery, but screen....zenfone lite have bigger screen than zenfone max.
I think Asus with zenfone 5 and zenfone 5z have good design though copy iPhone X, at least than better of Vivo and Xiaomi.

If others are stupid, don't follow them stupid.
Consumers don't need a distracting notch or a curve screen, they just need a big battery and a fast processor chip. Notches and curve screens are just gimmicks to lure consumers to buy so as they will feel like using an Apple or Samsung phone, in other words, to show off.
