AnonD-44232, 24 Mar 2018The photo which highlights the curtain, well, did anyone notice the aperture between the two? ... moreThe cameras don't even have the exact same apertures to begin with. What's the point of going manual mode to select the aperture?

The saturated ones or the dull ones? Most people prefer vivid colours. If you prefer dull colours, you are free to use other brands or just use a proper camera.

If you wan to compare phone camera pictures it is no use of campaing them to each others. You need hight quality system camera and then compare those to the standard aka system camera. Witch one gets nearest!

Samsung use a lot modifications to its pictures. They may look nice but quite often They Are far From reality. Vivid colors make the cloud day look much brighter and colorfull than They really were. But the purpose of camera is to reproduce the reality as well a possible.

What I would like to see in these shootouts is selfies taken in actual LOW LIGHT conditions, e.g. indoors with no windows wide open and without ample light. Every time I see these reviews, the "low light" selfies are taken in places that have ample lighting.

Anonymous, 24 Mar 2018Did they ignore audio recording quality on purpose in this comparison? iphone X is way behind... moreBut if you did watch the supersaf comparison there is an issue with the optical stabilization on the s9+. All the videos are choppy.

What I like about iPhone's camera is that the sky and clouds always look full, deep, vibrant or whatever you wanna call it haha. When you compare the daylight pics, the one with the snail (3/30 and 6/30) and with the modern office building (20/30 and 26/30) you can see how much better the sky and clouds look on the iPhone. I have an iPhone 8 and I really enjoy taking daylight outdoor pics because of that. With the iPhone 8 and X Apple also drastically improved low light photography so I'm very happy with that too :)

The photo which highlights the curtain, well, did anyone notice the aperture between the two? Ix is 1.8 while S9+ is 2.4. Technically, bigger aperture results in more blurred image quality. Anyway, if the set up is by auto then I have nothing to say. But if we need to dig out the true ability. i would suggest to use manual mode to set two at same setting to compare.

iphone X is way behind with it's bad quality mono.

Checking out supersaf's comparison on youtube, I find S9+ to be ahead in video quality as well.

                          poor duo....

both wont stand a change against fusion image of dual cam on XZ2 Pro and XZ 2 Premium.

i liked both of the camera both have their pros and cons,
in my point of view ill chose iphone x over the s9 for image processing but at the same time i cannot ignore s9 noise reduction capability and low light quality and in real world average people chose balanced saturated and vibrant color video and photos of s9 compare to true 2 life iphone shots.
                            for video rendering iphone
                            and for stills galaxy s9

That was brutal rekt.... iPhone is way more noisy, it often give orange/yellow tint in low-light, colors are also not that great and overall quality is just better on Galaxy.

I would love to see now comparison with latest Xperia

Whackcar, 24 Mar 2018No offense, but the Pixel 2 is still ahead in imaging capabilities than either of these two. I... moresamsung camera and pixel camera both are good and slightly better than iphone x camera,
in low light situation i think samsung has upper-hand with its 1.5 aperture lens.
my personal fav is pixel since the beginning especially their video stabilization and pixel camera gets better with time compare to other manufacturers because of their algorithms and reasonable updates.

how you even dare to compare the iphonex with a samsung?? only in hardware the s9 y faaar beyond.. and then in software proccesing you see the results, smooth stills with accurate colors and in the iphone just noise like a cheap camera.

That's my opinion but I don't like Samsung image processing.
Images might be noisier on the iPhone X but they look less processed, but color reproduction could be better, more natural.
And on both I notice some marks made by their HDR/multi-stacking that I don't like.

In all terms the iPhoneX camera is better...it's more natural, more life photos then s9 produce...it's totaly vivid and un natural on samsung, I dont understand why this samsung do with software....only where the samsung is better is reduce noise when picture zoom 100%...but why and when we zoom the picture and looking on small objects? never

But its hardware is only better than the iPhone X, not the Galaxy S9/S9+, and even the X has a secondary lens for superior zoom (well, I wouldn't say 2x is anything super useful, but it's better than literally nothing).
