The 808 pureview was much better in that respect. It wouldn't surprise me if that on could come up with even better results. Although it has no OIS but an even larger sensor.
The P20pro isn't that bad but I do prefer the 1020. Less purple fringing which is VERY obvious (which shows how inadequate voters were), overzealous sharpening. Oh dear.
On the Nokia 808PV you could dail down (or up) these things. I'm not sure if the 1020 has the same or similar settings.
And why does is need 3 camera's, for god's sake? Isn't one good camera enough?
And please, what's with that ridiculous hump. Huawei, you used to make such great phones without hump and now suddenly this? WTF! Make that bloody thing 1mm thicker and use that space for a bigger battery so that we actually CAN take pictures all day without running out of juice!
Who runs these companies? Monkeys?
AnonD-1825, 11 Apr 2018What are you talking about? It already lost by clear margin.Just in the same way Bieber would win a poll against the Beatles.

i chose nokia lumia 1020, the true winner, when it comes to photography 1020 is far better than p20 pro.. how many camera(s) need to be fitted to have that almost perfect camera on the phone, only lumia 1020 still own's that title..
B is the winner for sure. Period.

1020 for many could use a tad more advanced processing. And the p20 could tone it down

Thing is, the people calling out the voters as being idiots because they had a preference is borderline childish. They had a choice, tho chose between two photos, how the dueces does that make em idiots? Lumia was better in some shots, P20 in others. You vote for what you preferred, it is as simple as that. Your preferred photo is not what everyone else prefers, deal with it. I liking something more than another doesn't make it better than the other, but it is what I like. Come on folks. Grow up and face reality. How is it you love realistic photos, but detest realistic situations where people chose their preferences....
AnonD-625430, 11 Apr 2018Am I the only one to like the Nokia Lumia 1020 picture quality more than the Huawei P20 Pro? ... moreNope you are not the only one with bad eyes here.
As a photographer B won easily, i didn't zoom the photos or look all the details etc. i look the overall photo how it looks because that's exactly what 99,9% users do who see the photos.
Stop whining Nokia fans game is over new king of photography is here.

Is it too late to ask for a comparison between the Nokia 1020 5MPx mode and the Huawei P20 Pro 10MPx mode ?
Noypi, 11 Apr 2018In my own opinion about those photos Lumia 1020 still create good photos (very smooth) it's ... moreThat's true - B is over sharped over saturated
Well done both but... Really? It takes a trio of camera sensors for a quality performance to match up against a single one. What's this? A gang bang?

Yep picked A every time. I think the 950XL would beat B too, that was a great camera too
Luma was a bit soft while pro 20 was too sharpened. But everyone just picked the over sharpened image
Really GSMARENA? More people chose the Huawei P20 Pro ('B')? It's pretty obvious from the photos both zoomed out and zoomed it at 100% that the Lumia 1020 ('A') is CLEARLY SUPERIOR. It's NIGHT and DAY difference.
How can majority of gsmarena users PREFER/LIKE the oversharpened, jaggies filled, blender-like/blotchy overexposed output of the Huawei P20 Pro ('B') over that of the more realistic, natural, remarkably better luminance detail, remarkably better chrominance/color detail of the Lumia 1020 ('B')? Oh wait, this is not a photography site. Ignorance is expected.
Anybody can postprocess the Lumia 1020 ('B') output to make it look as artificial, fake and punchy/contrasty/clipped as the Huawei P20 pro's output but NOBODY can make the Huawei P20 pro's output as detailed and as realistic/natural/pleasant as that of the Lumia 1020's output.
Disclaimer: If I were to choose between the two smartphones, I'll choose of course Huawei P20 Pro because it is powered by Android and is way more useful and versatile as a smartphone than the Lumia 1020. But from the standpoint of which of the two captures better images, clearly its the Lumia 1020. I'm surprised at how naive majority of gsmarena's viewers are as regards photography for choosing the Huawei P20 Pro ('B') output over that of Lumia 1020 ('A')

Your comment is a perfect example of the fact that DxOMark is a fraud, scam site with fake, paid reviews. It's the same thing as with DisplayMate.
