I think the aspect ratio is not a problem here. It only add height but trim the width of the screen so nothing really increase in display size. Flagship device use it only for virtual keys and for wider landscape viewing.

Our review clearly says the screen is great - with great contrast and amazing sunlight score. The camera, except for the low-light, is also praised. The design got some positive remarks as well. Even in our conclusion - it says we liked pretty much everything but the price, which will soon get a fix anyway.
Finally - the comment you agree with has nothing to do with this review, but with the personal thoughts of one of our readers.
Before you write and accuse us of something BS, check your facts, read the review, and maybe then you should come and post comments.
AnonD-592658, 27 Apr 2018It's not all about the mega pixels Never has beenLOL.. Do you even compare the sample shots? Use the comparison tool dummy.. This Nokia 6 (2018) has more clear details than Nokia 7 plus and Nokia 8. Period
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2018Wow, what a camera downgrade. Look at the studio comparison in low-light: https://www.gsmarena... moreThe camera is NOT downgraded. It is just an unfair comparison here on GSMArena: Nokia 6 was set at ISO 800 and Nokia 6 (2018) a whole stop higher at ISO 1600.
Indeed, if you look on comparison at ISO 100, you see no difference between both models.
The 16MP camera here is better than the 12MP on 7 Plus and subsequently better than the 13MP on the Nokia 8!!

The dis... moresadly I've been finding that GSMArena is becoming just a bunch of BS with no real sense of reality. Not quite to the level of the typical Indian reviews, but not far short. Its like they have no clue about underlying technoglogy (cameras being a bone of contention) and expect everything to be a flagship when it costs half (or less). They seem to take no time to actually delve into the phones differences and so if its not "stock android" then "its too hard to grasp".

The display is an extremely capable LCD that even outperforms many OLED's, the battery life is better than on many current flagships and the camera is about as good as you could expect from a mid-ranger. As for a 2:1 aspect ratio, you're essentially demanding a gimmick.

But i think that this is better phone, than last year Nokia 6. And for nostalgia it's ideal on cheap price, still better than Nokia 1.
Kaku Diego, 26 Apr 2018your world is better than ours, in my world 90% of the people has no idea what is a custom rom.But with Oreo maybe they know what is treble?
If don't someone other know, and how to instal 'stock' on custom just in 5 minutes. My S9 ison stock just because it's easy to instal.. Because of Googles project 'Treble'
does anyone know when the blue/gold version is available/released?
Lackluster phone. Nothing special. No amoled. No 18:9 screen. Mediocre camera. Small battery with below average battery life. Sd630 is OK nothing great. Overpriced.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2018Wow, what a camera downgrade. Look at the studio comparison in low-light: https://www.gsmarena... morethey have not release yet camera software update for 2016 edition. They will soon release low light camera performance upgrade iam sure the picture will come nice then its previous edition just chill
prakhar jain, 26 Apr 2018Over Pricey
No 18:9 Display
Finger print scanner awkward position
32GB/3GB instead of 4GB/6... moreWho said fingerprint position is akward? Who said average performance? And who the BLOODY HELL said bad loudspeaker?!!!
First and foremost, Nokia 6 (2017) has 430 chipset which is 60% inefficient compared to a 630 chipet.
Second and foremost, the fingerprint position sits nicely below the camera. I mean for me, I don't find any issue at all on my Nokia 6.1 compared to my Nokia 6 (2017).
Third and foremost, their camera is slightly improved. But that doesn't mean the Nokia 6.1 has the same image/video (1080p) quality compared to the Nokia 6 (2017). And lastly their speakers sounds better than the Nokia 6 (2017) even though the Nokia 6 (2017) has Dolby Atmos double firing speaker.
