the phone looks decent. nothing special but solid.... now we have to wait for camera shots, battery life and the price. if all of these are atleast good then they might have something.

but the camera is the same as the v30. which was good but was not the best. the battery size is quite small but who knows what the 845 and the new lcd inpact is on this. and the price, rumors are 680 which would be a nice price

AnonD-744437, 02 May 2018The first unofficial battery test lg g7 is 6h sot. This is pre production modelThe test should be done against the competition running the same apps at the same time from full charge to shutted down. We will watch it against others in youtube later for sure and we'll see the truth, not interested data.

Therion13, 02 May 2018Nop i am happy with my v30+ thinqwasnt htc the first dual camera?

LG has brought interesting things over years, but only Apple and Samsung earn credits even when they copy.
Look at XZ2, I agree it is ugly and previous Xperia look better. U11 that inspired XZ2 looks better.
It has 10-bit screen, while s9 uses 8-bit. It can play SDR videos as HDR , no other brand does that. It records 960fps 1080p with half of DRAM of s9.
Then ppl just talk about bezels even with the fact is has 76% of screen which is more than enough without sacrifice of ergonomy.

No matter what LG may bring...

By that I mean when they were talking up there quad dac we never recieved it in Australia. As with everything LG one word. FRUSTRATING.

Many of those you mentioned were overshadowed by hardware, software and lousy customer service issues. And yet again they present a phone with sensors smaller than some of those older phones that you mention. A smaller battery that its predecessor in spite of being a 6.1 "LCD screen whose duration they have not been interested in publishing, as they have avoided revealing the price to avoid the audible reaction of the people in the event.

It's just the LG G7 doesn't have a standout feature. Not that the G5's modular design helped its sales despite the stunning camera, but today every flagship has something to brag with. The iPhone has Face ID, the Galaxy has the variable camera aperture, the P20 Pro has a triple camera, the Xperia shoots 4K HDR video, the Mi Mix 2 has a borderless display.
it is not that it has not done it... it is simply that apple and Samsung has their own sheep
first dual camera
first f 1.8 for low light
first with compact size and best snapdragon back in 2013 G2
first with best manual controls on camera
first with new aspect ratio g6
first modular dosing g5
best equipped phone with nougat even before pixel devices v20
any phone with quad dac ..... any phone with dts 7.1 ......
maybe be you should read your own post gsm

Why only 3000 mAh for a big 6.1" RGBW IPS LCD? Has it notification's led or it lacks of it, again? What about the size of the sensors in the camera? Are still ridiculously small?

Not impressed, if they want to sell it the price should lower than the 479 euros that cost the Zenfone 5z available next month. And impossible to trust them in regular updates for now, LG took whole 9 months to put Oreo in the G6 since Google released it. If the price is higher it'll be died before see the light like could happen with the OP 6. It'll be funny watch the price when announced.

Looks perfect to me. I don't bother the notch, and there is an option to hide it too, though which could be more creative. Expected OLED panel, but LCD is ok too. The bottom chin could be significantly reduced, no point of having a notch and a chin that thick at the same time. BTW, Does it have a notification LED this time?
