Camera dynamic range is not about dark or black shadows. You can't tell a system's dynamic range by just its shadows.
Darker shadows can only mean that it has greater contrast which can be appealing to most people.

a lot of phone throttle when pushed to the limitI think it's more of a power consumption thing.
When all the power goes into a single core for a short amount of time it gets high results but they have to limit the power consumed when all cores run otherwise the battery would last half an hour lol.
Snapdragon seems a little more efficient which allows it to run all it's cores at near full throttle for longer.

Just another lame design phone from xiami. they can hardly get it right.
A flat top but lumpbar at the bottom, it's just obvious, a no brainer lame phone.

If only the Mi Mix 2S has that corner notch for the front camera (should've been updated to take 4K selfies like the Nokia 8) on the top right and less than a inch of chin instead of what we have now.

Love my mi mix 2(no s) ceramic ed. I wanted to order the 2s but then again it's much more expensive at this time, and there is no ceramic edition right now i could import. Also Xiaomi introduces iphoneX camera design which i do hate alot, it just doesnt correspond with the middle mounted fingerprint reader. Whenever they change it to side of the phone Im into it, but right now, nope. Still I love the MiMix 1 alot more than both follow-ups. It just stands out from the crowd with its minimized bezels, no headpiece and maximum display. I just wished the camera were better on the 1.

Hello!!! Mi Mix 2 battery life is very good!!!
The real battery life is the one you get in real life with screen on time or SOT(NOT the same as USAGE time on Iphones wich includes updating apps or checking mails/messages in the background when screen off)!!!
My screen on time SOT is minimum 6h with my MI Mix 2!!! With my MI 5 the SOT was about 5H, but GSM Arena gives it a much higher endurance!!! So this is absolutely NOT comparable!!! The software will advance and you will get better battery life when idle in the near future!!!

These guys do not have any points for a wide angle... I'm glad they didn't give minus score for that :) As Pixel 2 proved, the bokeh can be achieved with software only, so LG (or anybody else) could do it. It's a shame, they didn't. That said, just tested out Pixel's camera port on LG V20. Portrait mode works great. Even with a wide lens.

Disappointed on the battery. It's a good phone, but Mix series didn't attract me in the first place because placing a piezoelectric speaker inside the body and FFC on the bottom chin is just... Weird!

My main subject in the comment is the Redmi 5 Plus, and this phone's main competitor is the Honor 7x.
Never said the Mi Mix 2s is a competitor to the Honor 7x, so I hope I cleared things up.

Look at top 10, except Pixel 2 all the rest are devices with telephoto/optical zoom.
The zoom/bokeh scores boost the overall score. S9+ beats Pixel 2 only about noise and zoom. Still the final score is higher.
