This tacky beautiful green is the colour of my soul!!, I really want it.
Notch is not gonna stay for longer time... Hope all OEMs will understand the Customers...
Mica, 18 May 2018Not true. My P20 Lite still has a notification light in/above the notch. Although i think it's... moreDownload an app in Play Store called Light Manager. It will customise your LED lights to whatever you want if you don't like the single colour only.
David11o, 16 May 2018No mention of notification LED? Does it have one on that notch? This is a deal breaker for me!P20 lite has a notification light in the notch, so there is hope this one has as well.
Geric.770, 16 May 2018Sorry bro. Notch phones don't have that feature anymore because there is no more space for it.... moreNot true. My P20 Lite still has a notification light in/above the notch. Although i think it's just one color.
Geric.770, 16 May 2018Thanks dude! My Y7 Prime is now in the latest May security update!Welcome. Glad that i can help.

Bought my Honor 8 pro on July last year, many security patch updates up until April 2018 security patch now with Oreo Emui 8 and face unlock. I dont know why Europe got problems with their local telco dont give the greenlight when the updates are already there.
Go to Google Play, install Firmware Finder app, people from Europe can update to latest firmware using it, without root/unlock your bootloader.
Anonymous, 16 May 2018The biggest downfall with Huawei/Honor phones is that the manufacturer doesn't update them. I ... moreNever expect that you will receive another update from them. You're lucky your phone was updated to Nougat mine was stuck in Marshmallow that's why I no longer use it as my daily driver.
[deleted post]You're talking something you didn't personally experienced. Have you owned a Huawei phone in the past? When they release an update it's smooth as if it's the same as new. I have owned a Huawei phone but their update which take ages to come same as samsung holds me back from buying another device from them.
My old Huawei P8 is still faster than Samsung S6 even faster than S7 even though it was only updated to Marshmallow.
[deleted post]S9 already has Oreo on board!
Well, it only occurs on few devices and lucky you are not one of them.
Yeah, I can say Huawei is also slow on updates but not too terrible than LG electronics!
YoloBS, 16 May 2018Does it have multi color notification?

Samsung does have LED lights even the S9/+ and older generation flagships.
[deleted post]Oh. Good for you, since Samsung is facing serious issues with the Oreo update of Galaxies S7/Edge!
Does it have multi color notification?
I don't think notch phone have space to put led notification on notch but it's become forgot features in smartphones in these days.

I'm not a huge fan of notches either... but as long as phone makers make rounded corner displays, they might as well have notches, as the usable area of the sides of the notch isn't fully usable anyway.
They might as well but one at the bottom as well, and put the fingerprint-reader/"home" button in there... unfortunately Android P comes with swipe gestures so the physical "home" button is probably going away... sure there are fingerprint-readers with gesture support, but long swipes would not work... on the other hand, it would offer better tactile feedback, if the long swipe commands were triggered when the finger moves from the sensor to the surrounding area, that is display or at least capacitive sensitive.
I want the center portion to be 16:9, without any curves or bends, with 1080p or rather 2160p resolution, then it could extend to areas with notches, curves and bends that could then be function areas (perhaps with support for some kind of ambient effect, that sorts of extends the images of the center area, but leaving it intact, kinda like the blurry extension of portrait videos).
