It's only a bad phone majorly advertised by Huawei. The results aren't surprising considering ram and storage, camera and battery too.The phone has nothing to do with P20 series and it's just another phone with 659 on board. The price isn't cheap either.400$.For that price they could have offered Snapdragon 636 or 660.
You can buy Samsung S7 edge 32 Gb,LG G6,Huawei P10,Huawei Honor 9,Xiaomi mi 6,Xiaomi mi Mix,ZTE nubia Red Magic all NEW for 400$ or 4up to 450$ these days.
Or you might as well save up for few months and buy Oneplus6 for 530$,i'd rather spend more to get something amazing, than spend less like 400$ and regret it for years.
Really the image in this POST is captured via Huawei P20 Lite ???? i also have seen many images result on Huawei site, the result was so perfect like mirror.
we can unlock this device as well
Raky , 25 May 2018Uhmmmm...on that, i really don't get this GSM arena testing....some phones that I had (s8 f.e.... moreI have used this phone for one month+.
I would say battery life is pretty average.
It is approx 30% worse than my previous: galaxyA3 (2017).
And, that is the same conclusion as gsmarena tests indicate.
Usage pattern is a very individual thing... number of apps, brightness, bluetooth, number of accounts to sync, ...
I think the gsmarena battery life tests are among the best there is. But still, they are relative to your usage pattern.
I think honor 10 is more close to p20 as a compact virsion of it, xcpt for the camera placemnt

Performance wise and price comparison, P10 is the best alternative phone because of Kirin 960, traditional display (16:9), and front fingerprint scanner!

AnonD-188574, 25 May 2018Pretty below average battery life...disappointingUhmmmm...on that, i really don't get this GSM arena testing....some phones that I had (s8 f.e.) had great tests result, and in real life I am actually disappoint since it can't hold even a one working day, and then this phone is "below average " and my friend that uses it can get 2 whole days on battery...after iphone 7 which also gets nice (better) test results on this side, he is super happy and this phone is actually much better for him.
So, something is wrong here...
Ι won't get bored at saying that a kirin 659 , essentially the same as the 655 in the p9 lite is a joke in 2018. It will lag like crazy sooner rather than later. And it's a pity because it could be a decent midranger otherwise.

I know a lot of people who have the P8 Lite and the P9 lite, because general consumers think they are getting the real flagship with minor downgrades, but in fact these are completely other phones with the same name plus the Lite moniker
I really don't understand why a solid device like the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is never considered in this site. Besides, at least it is better than the Redmi Note 5 Pro...
For just 20-30 euro more you can get... P10 that is just better than this.
Or for the same price if not cheaper you can get P9, maybe its 2year old, maybe it dont have notch, but you get better performances, there is oreo update coming, you get better camera.
Phones like those are not bought by moders who tweak them all the time, but by normal people who want just a working phone, and P10 and even P9 is just better than P20 lite, that beside "notch-modern look" dont have anything in it beside medicore performances.
Those of you who says overpriced, outdated, avoid P-lite, well you 'll just stay bitter, we don't care coz we're loving huawei phones and you can't stop us from buying what we want.
Anonymous, 25 May 2018Thing is, Kirin 659 is really old now and as such the battery performance is really not close ... moreI agree just wait for June, rumours their new midrange chip will be released.
The battery life on emui 8, always improving by its AI configuration day by day usage, thus will improved battery endurance significantly after a few weeks.
But Kirin 659 is a old chipset for a mid ranger phone already, better add up money a bit and buy the new Honor 10 instead, thats a performance-per-value phone as of today.
€300 for this outdated yesteryear engine.
I don't know what's the purpose of this device existance.

Great that the Redmi Note 5 Pro made it into the list of alternatives (also the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a worthy alternative too).
But this P20 Lite is mostly comparable to my Redmi 5 Plus.
Kirin 659 is about on par with SnapDragon 625, but the 5 Plus is way cheaper.
Sure it lacks in camera department, but for almost $50 price difference, it's very hard not to ignore this phone.
