G6 play should have gone for this soc the 450 snapdrago... moreYes for the G6 Plus.
As for the G6 Play, it could've had the SD630 instead, while the G6 should have the SD636 or even the Helio P60.
"till, the new lineup needed the tall screen. Otherwise, it would have looked outdate." - wherefrom did you get this? Most average customers I met and those I personally know do NOT buy new phones though their old phones are broken because of too big of screens. They want 4.6" not 5"+. I may be wrong, but there are no alternatives for such a small screen factor right now. People sit on their 250€$ and don't buy new phones eventhough they want to...
Pretty sure the "motorola" at the front can find somewhere else to be printed. That's ugly af!

G6 for the 625
G6 Plus for the 660.
This phone will only be attractive when price goes down
Moto / Lenovo have one of the worst update support out of all the major brands. My expensive Vibe x3 had 2 security updates and 1 OS update, that's all. If you like updates and/or after sales support I would never rely on Moto / Lenovo.
Gsmarena from where do you claim the 2 years of software updates?
Last I heard Moto had reduced it to just one year.
Ever since being purchased by Lenovo Moto has gone downhill.
All moto phones coming with Pure Android. I understands their software section is very poor. Lot of features can be added in a phone like this, but they are not doing it. Not even a photo Gallery app is not included. Regarding software update also, Moto is a failure. One year old g5 plus not yet received any major update.
The Zenfone max pro m1 is leagues ahead of this phone and is still cheaper.
AND the zenfone is part of the Android One program,so better updates too.
motorola or Lenovo company should be gone for sd636 or 660 for the price it is selling in the Indian market considering the competition
The back of the phone looks too much like a face to me.
Still, looks to be a good all-round phone though.
Geric.770, 06 Jun 2018I wonder why GSMA roasted Lenovo Z5 on the last topic though. XDBecause the phone made by lies!
This is a good alternative for people buying unique phones like this without the hassle of removing decent features.
When I read the speaker part of the review...
"It might even be one of the loudest phones we've tested so far! The readings of our sound level meter put the G6 in the Excellent bracket, much like the G6 Plus before it. There's no distortion at maximum volume either, and the sound comes with deep bass and rich tones".
... to me, it made the speaker seem like a "Pro" rather than a "Con"?
