I'd say go check that phone out instead of this failure.

seriously, xiaomi is copying iPhoneX for the sake of copying, without real benefits. The notch is ugly, and since the notch is so wide and huge, the tiny remaining corners beside the notch is almost useless. Viewing photos? the notch almost completely hides the top anyway. So is xiaomi cheating on the spec sheet? I'd say yes, because this notch is like 80% of the top! I'd rather xiaomi built-upon the mi6, offering stereo speakers by using the remaining little space beside the WIDE notch up there. stereo speakers are at least usable and practical, unlike the tiny remaining screen estate beside the fat notch. Oneplus 6 and P20 has tiny notches, so it is fine because the screen is still usable. And whats with the SnapDragon845 but performing so poorly amongst the rest? I dont get it. Looks like the mi8 is a let down, to be honest.

No 3.5 audio jack is a biggest disappointment. I can totally grab either of the three beauties if they do, why every damn manufacturers have to follow this stupid trend, thicker 1 mm more or less is not even a problem

I would really like to see more than just synthetic benchmarks for gaming. So many times I've bought or read about phones having a less than acceptable digitizer that incurs lag and touch delays. The Xiaomi MI6 was bad, also the Huawei P20 Pro is also bad.
Yet nothing gets discussed in these reviews about the "game playability" of the phone itself.
GSMArena, can you please add more experiences with the phones than just benchmarks?
