Anonymous, 25 Jul 2018You forget that it is wrong to compare phone A ( iso 200) x phone B ( iso 1000). Of course A ... moreLol that's some flawed argument bro. Nobody gives a crap about how phones' cameras perform in tripod because 99% of smartphone users don't carry one around with them. People most of the time shoots photos while holding their phones in their hands and that's what matters the most. Even on tripod S9 again has several advantages since its manual mode lets you have more granular controls over the settings than on XZ2 and you can shoot in RAW for more advanced manual adjustments if you wish.

In fact when I bought the XPERIA XZ2 it wasn't as thick as what photos shown; it's still acceptable. BUT, I'm still not a big fan of the design, their old design is still usable if the bezels are trimmed and the corners are more rounded
Riz, 25 Jul 2018Sony should hire new designer...I miss their old creative unique design....hmmmm...U can b the 1
LG Superfan, 25 Jul 2018Huawei video recording is crap but there stills are amazingLol cause there Sony sensors.

LG Superfan, 24 Jul 2018It will definitely spin it might even slide and drop if you dont put it on perfectly flat surfaceIt design is unique, so how could some people it like the U11.
The Japanese manga have animate show some smartphone can spin on the table when receiving a call in the drama, so it is now become in reality. If you don't like it you can turn down the vibration strength or put a case on, so it is fine not need to trolling.
Sony should hire new designer...I miss their old creative unique design....hmmmm...
I preferred the design of the XZ1 Premium, it had a large display in a sleek design. The design of the XZ2p is not for me.
Lex79, 24 Jul 2018Well that's it, you don't need to be to see the flaws present in this designNo flaws mate, it's called Sony exceptional design engineering.
Go elsewhere and complain... bouts your shame comp or C copies brands.
Nick Tagataka, 24 Jul 2018Because XZ2 has the best picture quality in the comparison chart, right? But did you know that... moreYou forget that it is wrong to compare phone A ( iso 200) x phone B ( iso 1000). Of course A has to do better.
The fact is that using same ISO Sony is going to do better than Samsung.
A Sony photo at higher iso is much more usable than Samsung's.
Also at base iso.
Sony does not need small crop ( 12MP) to hide the noise.
JJ, 24 Jul 2018Did Not know you were a design engineer, mate!? Hehehe Well that's it, you don't need to be to see the flaws present in this design
Impressive technical specs, but the design is atrocious.
This is bigger than most, and heavier than by some measure than any competitive device (without even a larger battery to justify that girth). It also has the worst fingerprint scanner placement of anything outside of the Galaxy S8 range.
It would be advisable for Sony to give away a free pair of Doc Martin's with this device. That way when you inevitably drop it whilst adjusting to get your finger over the scanner, you don't break your foot.
Seriously what are Sony thinking with this design?!?!
