Does Note9 support Dual VoLTE
RazrFlip, 25 Aug 2018Not sure you understand pricing. If you can make a profit of 200 on a device you only need to ... more100% with your point and yes, from the developer side, all is fair and of pricing policy is their own choice, as i understood, huge profit per product. But then again,we are consumers and see this approach differently, because we in the end,pay the price. Although history repeats itself year by year,we pay everytime more. Not long ago, a flagship was priced at around 700-800 $/€ or echiv. and now we pay around 1000. So,again,in the end,we consumers, pay and we don't care about developers' approach because we see our pockets emptier year by year.
When Dxomark going to rate this note 9
Just curious want know its score

If you can make a profit of 200 on a device you only need to sell a quarter as many as someone who only makes 50 per phone. Also, you have to invest less in stock build up, less in production lines. Then if you can make that profit 400, you are onto a winner. With a high profit you can afford for a device to fall and be recalled. You can afford to spend hugely on R&D and still pay yourself huge bonuses.
The game is PROFIT, not just sales volume.
Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity, but cash is reality.
It is easy to be a busy fool.
Anonymous, 21 Aug 2018In the bezeless era Samsung makes the bezels thicker over its own last gen. Shame on you Sa... moreIt is almost exactly the same height as the Huawei mate 9, which I have. I compared them in store. What puts me off is the curved edge narrowness of the screen, particularly for using the S-pen.
Is this seriously GSMArena's first review where there are NO disadvantages?
Edit: It's in the verdict part, normally a couple years ago it was in the introduction part. Why you do this GSMArena? It's hard to get used to!
Kiyasuriin, 21 Aug 2018I agree with you, excellent! ^~^great comment, 10/10 agree
Awesome phone no doubt about it but I think Apple, Samsung, Sony, LG, even Huawei should revise their pricing policy since their products' prices are way too high comparing with the inovations and hardware level of the selling point timelines. There are other brands which have understood the market better and the came up with price/quality alternatives, worthy of our attention: Xiaomi, OnePlus, etc. Why Mi8 is not shown on the alternatives list for Note9?just asking gsmarena? Yes, it misses IP68, microsd slot and 3.5 mm jack but hey, I own such a product and I honestly don't miss anything. I have 128gb which is more than enough, the small jack-type c adapter is awesome (no more extra holes on the device) and there is no loss in quality or volume and I've never felt the need for water protection. And don't think I'm affiliated to Xiaomi somehow because I'm not, I just love this phone and the overall marketing policy of this brand. I've also checked P20 Pro, Note8, OnePlus8 but I preffer to stick with Mi8.
Hi guys, your friendly phone shop assistant here. So we had the Note IX comeinto storetoday for launch and ive had a chance to play with it. Im commenting in the slo mo video, on my note VIII and olfer phone with slo mo, you capture the video then move 2 sliders to represent where the slo mo starts and stops, then youcan play it back. Now, you have to hold the phone, without recording, then when your subject moves into a very small area of the screen, represented by a square, it will then capture what little, fleeting motion it detects for a micro second in that area. Why has slo mo taken such a huge step back? I do a lot of outdoor motion sports, and this feature is now redundant where as I used to use it all the time, this isnt how sports shows showcase or capture their slo mo, it's just not a change for the better. Anyone else agree? Also, the cool wallpapers with the stars and motion are loooong gone, sad.
I am addressing reviewers
Please, post a review of the 1080p/240,120fps modes.
Those are appealing for the creatives producing active-life clips with some slow-motion effects in them.
Yes, most would use GoPRO, but not always.

I have see the review here and from.androidheadlines.
U12 is better for stills/videos, p20 pro even better.
N9 is no more than 1,5% better than S9+
Kiyasuriin, 21 Aug 2018What are you smoking? Same sensors? Sure, MAYBE because of the resolution, but the blades are ... moreI'm smoking touchwiz. Even GSMArena stated that the photos are way softer than the S9+ and low light shots have no improvement. Same phone. Same screen. Ugly back.
I have a note 8. It has the pro camera mode and no dout the note 9 also has this mode. So if you can take the time to manually adjust the camera for low light setting you'll find it will be just right has I'm happy with my low light images.
Nick Tagataka, 21 Aug 2018As soon as I read "camera sensors copying Snapdragons" I noticed that your comment isn't worth... moreIt was an error of typing and I apologize for that. GTranslate's fault also, because I am not an advanced English writer. I can admit that. But to compare my writing error to the fact of Samsung's shameless technological copying, fooling everyone with its design and its poor quality and to pretend that you didn't understand my point, I realize that I am also embarrassed for this reply to you. Best regards!
Oh dear, the back isn't pretty. How could I ever use it the front?
It's a nice phone but its price and the fact that half of its hardware will be obsolete in a few months make it only a good buy for those who really need an S pen.

I really wish Sony to step up their games further, as their current state is not enough to be competitive, bruh!
Ghostwolf87, 22 Aug 2018Oh my gosh, it is over 200 grams in weight. The world is coming to an END.
This is hilario... moreThank you lmao.
People always go so crazy at weights even under 200g.
Im like..... Can you lift your own arm???
Anonymous, 22 Aug 2018The Note 9 camera looks quite bad in low light but excellent in good light. Is this an outlier... moreI think it is, and comparing across reviews this particularly fast lens seems to have greater than average assembly variation, not good.
