Anonymous, 16 Sep 2018Snapdragon weak throttling Soc nothing new.every phone will throttle at a point. The problem here is how the game react / behave to the throttling algorithm.
If the game that you play relies heavily on GPU performance then you wont have any issue because no throttling observe, even at hot 45 C battery temps. Games such like Asphalt 9 and NFS no limit for instance.
However if you play CPU intensive game such as Cytus 2, Honkai Impact, Dynasty Warrior Unleashed, etc, then yes the you will the notice the frame definitely tanks. Enabling 60 fps option wont do a thing because the CPU already start to limit itself.
I solve this by of course, rooting. Then i let the CPU go all out while dropping GPU frequency about half of its speed and proceed to lowered few graphic settings. Now i can enjoy buttery smooth 60 fps gameplay with the battery heat generation is about the same as stock and the back of the phone isnt hot at all. LOL!

I returned my PocoF1 because of screen bleeding and charging issues. The notch was hideous and the rounded edges can not only trigger OCD but also ate up screen estate especially in YouTube and games. Also the fast charging was flaky, had to reinsert the cable 3-4 times to trigger fast charging else it took 6 hours to charge fully.
