My Xperia Z3's glass cracked again (...2nd time). I like Sony but this is sheer design negligence and i don't intend to keep forking out for a new digitizer/glass replacement = repair costs.
Hip hop king, 01 Sep 2018oh dear but I can name tons of features Xperia has and the poco f1 lacks. does it have
oled d... moreOh yes mman. Poco offers equal speed for 300.
Anything you named havent the value they asking for that phone and when was brand new i mean Sony it cost a lot more.
So please as i said.
Many people swithc new phones every 2-3 years in that case Poco will be worth 100 euros compared to brand new 1000 euros sony worth maybe 200 after 3 years.
If both phones can last 2-3 years and they can the poco is much better option to get along with.

And many companies dont use many things they make too....not among leaders in semiconductor or anything......just copy like apple or Chinese brand.....or in some things like any and all do to an extent.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2018This is not a dream right? Those guys are acting weirdI really have no idea what is going on here lol. For Tann he moved on from Sony I respect his decision, whereas for 60EZ I don't know what is going on with the "switching roles"...
I wonder if Chrome out of the box on this model allows for screenshots in incognito mode (??).
Anonymous, 01 Sep 2018There is no point of pin pointing the perfect color accuracy on a phone cause no one needs it.... moreOf course there is no point. Because if there wad a point then it should mean admitting Sony lost. And you can't do that
Hip hop king, 01 Sep 2018oh dear but I can name tons of features Xperia has and the poco f1 lacks. does it have oled d... moreHalf of those don't matter to everyone and do not even come close to making up the cost difference by a long shot

very good night time photographs (besides the shutter speed is slow)
gorilla glass back and front
4k hdr video recording
super slow motion
7000 series aluminium frame
but yeah it will be partial if I don't include what it doesn't
useless secondary camera
heat pope system ( otherwise Plastic will melt)
Just because something looks similar, they say it is a copy. Why are people so biased?
It's about time Sony moved to OLED.
This is the best design in the Xperia line-up to date but there are a few CONs with this device:
*no 3.5mm jack
*$900 Price tag
For that price, it should come with more features.
It seems for $100 more you can just get the Note9 for more features.

It's a waste of resources. Your PC monitor you are using right now doesn't have straight color accuracy and that's not a problem either.

"Sunlight legibility on the XZ2 Premium isn't great. It matches the previous Premium in contrast under direct light, but that's a pretty low bar, with virtually all competitors being at least a little better, and the likes of the Galaxy S9+ and iPhone X significantly so."
''The Xperia XZ2 Premium's display settings promise an accurate sRGB reproduction in the Professional mode, but we measured an average DeltaE of 4.1 - decent, but not all that accurate.''

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2018Curved screen is 2015, OLED is 2000 odd( from watches) or 2010 ( from galaxy s or S2) edge fea... moreTake 2015 OLED screen and compare to Z5 LCD screen and tell me you would rather have that OLED? Absolutely not.
Ironic accomplishment of XZ3 OLED screen is that Sony has made the great drivers for it so it can act like LCD screen with no frequency shifting when turned to the left or right and minimal PWM flickering when not on optimal brightness adjustment.
Actual "picture quality" is very subjective and there is a reason why manufacturers are boosting super vivid, oversaturaded, mega contrast settings on the screens so still and moving images could pop out like crazy. People fall have been falling for that trick since plasma panel days. In this department OLED has great advantage over LCD and everyone is stunned by that neon toxic ooze green foliage and cyan saturated sky in demo videos, Samsung Galaxy S8/S9 being the worst offender in that department. Remember Pixel 2 XL neutral mode controversy when users were complaining how their OLED screen went bad because it lacked the punch? Google was just trying to give you reference like experience of calibrated display cause it counted that photography people would appreciate it only to find out that people who buy Pixel even for it's camera are not photography people but just hobby enthusiasts.
