It would however be a stupid business decision by DisplayMate to post faked numbers on their site when they know that every single manufacturer out there has access to the exact same tools and utilities.

I think the phone industry is moved to a bigger platform with phones coming with great specs and Sony is still ridding on this device which i don't see anything great in specs
Whats wrong with you guys

After i check again from here, The second is indeed huawei and sharp.

I cant find both samsung and sony in the list.
So sony is not doing good job in its home country.

Yes, people use iPhones the most, but then Sharp comes in as a distant second and then Sony. Samsung is doing probably worse than Kyocera in that country.
Dual heatpipes, 16 Sep 2018As an ex-sonyfan i have to say this phone is a clone of samsung. I don't like it.
Hey sony, i... moreThe funniest thing is.. most sonyusers used to say that they hated "replica" brand.
Now their fav brand is also doing replica-way. And now they say "Samsung replica is better than the original samsung".
Anonymous, 16 Sep 2018Or Sony does not have what it takes to be alive in US and Canada....
Or anywhere in the world... moreNope. Japanese prefer iphones. Japan is an iphone-country. There You'll find iphones everywhere. Their second favorite phone is galaxies. Not many people use samsung galaxies, but at least it is the second most popular brand in there.
And most people in there avoid xperia for some reason that i dont know. You'll find very tiny number of xperia users in there.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2018Or Sony does not have what it takes to be alive in US and Canada.... Or anywhere in the world... moreThey have what it takes. Just whoever makes all the decisions for the mobile division...or that people that do have absolutely no idea what they are doing and should never be in charge of anything dealing with money or a company. If more capable people who actually knew how to use their brain were on their spots Sony could be booming in the mobile division.
I actually quite like the multi media performance of recent xperias including camera, stereo speaker sound and their implementation of LCD tech. But the experience is marred by usability niggles, often brought on by their own software.
I've had jerky video playback, poor touch screen responsiveness and each monthly security patch feels like a gamble that may affect battery life or WiFi performance.
The slow charging and awkward finger print sensor placement in the XZ3 aren't filling me with confidence
Pcworldjames, 16 Sep 2018Poor Canadians only use inferior mobiles, They will always be late in technology.
I would not... moreOr Sony does not have what it takes to be alive in US and Canada....
Or anywhere in the world(except Japan perhaps) considering their mobile sales...

I say goodbye until I see the comparison of screens of the XZ3 and the s9 on YouTube, I'll put the video to laugh for a while

Man.. this is just a phone. And you vilify the e... moreThat is true and also Sony phones are just not up to the competition, that's why no one wants to buy them!
I have the XZ Premium and this so-called premium phone does not even have:
Double tap to wake
No option to crank the resolution up to full 4K so the screen runs in 1080p almost 99% of the time
No night light
No double tap to wake
No OIS in camera
No always on display
No password protection for apps and folders
Can't hide navigation bar so no full-screen apps
Blacks look grey because of low contrast LCD
And no true multiwindow multitasking like on Samsung phones.
But on the contrary, I do love the old Xperia design, now with XZ3 that is gone.
And then there are these trolls who have unfortunately associated themselves with Sony mobile community all they do is lie, bash Samsung and troll.
As an ex-sonyfan i have to say this phone is a clone of samsung. I don't like it.
Hey sony, if u copy samsung then i better buy the original samsung phone, not a clone like this phone.
Nick Tagataka, 16 Sep 2018Well said! Easily the most reasonable comment on this comment section.Thank you. Though I believe there was some equally reasonable ones in response to them and others on certain points
Pcworldjames, 16 Sep 2018yes they bought it here in Europe and Asia, in the US it is more difficult, only iPhones and s... moreNo. Other phones are promoted too. It depends on how well the company promotes them. And Sony is really bad at marketing and promoting their devices.
And it's not just in the us that people won't buy them. It's other areas too. And its because not only does Sony not market well but they don't release very well either. Especially in the us. They just throw the phone online, barely market, charge a high price, and expect everyone to skip carrier contracts and deals to chip online and buy the device full price.
