currently im using 1+ 6, i love it and no lagging , but im so sure samsung s9+ cant beat this beast , do not waste your money for samsung s9+. buy a oneplus phone , s9+ is failed phone , am i right or not?
Anonymous, 19 Sep 2018I've been wondering for some time. What makes the Pixel the smoothest Android phone? Why are p... moreIts because of the kernel used.If u wanted to know now about kernels just Google it. The Pixel Uses an EAS Kernel which is the best out there. Oneplus just boosts the frequencies when you touch the screen. So the performance is smooth but battery suck. Both are very good for Pixel due to the EAS Kernel.
Geric.770, 19 Sep 2018Well, that's an antique product. XD

I need CALL-RECORDING.
The "new 3310" can't do that either (that thing is more crippled than a paraplegic playing soccer)!
As for the battery, I understand. But that 808 is the only phone in my possession that has user-exchangeable batteries. The Honor 8 that I currently use as my daily phone (with call recording) is getting near the end it's 3 year life of the internal battery. And that bloody thing has sealed batteries :-(
Plus, I doubt that I can get a non Pie phone somewhere next year. BTW, who is responsible for Android at Google? Perhaps I could start a petition to get call-recording BACK in Android (as the defining feature for professionals). Especially since using phones while driving is more and more prohibited (I don't understand why these dumbasses at Google don't see this themselves).
Geric.770, 19 Sep 2018Man, the 6T removed the long time favourite feature of their customers: headphone jack. That's... more400 euro's isn't exactly "budget" price either let alone the 640 euro's they're asking for a OP6 128GB in my country. In fact an iPhone 7 (And Nokia 8) costs as much as that. The 256GB model sells for upto 670 euro's that's the same as an iPhone 8. Add 30 euro's and you get a Galaxy S9+ (or a Note 8). Sure the latter are only 64GB models but they can be expanded with a microSD-card upto a whopping 576GB.
What used to be amazing were models like the Honor 8 that had terrific performance, great camera's and a lot more features (IR-blaster etc...) for less than 400 euro's. But recently Honor models traded camera-quality (no more laser AF for instance) and features for (slightly) higher performance but fortunately the price didn't increase. The Honor 10 is significantly worse than the Honor 8 (besides the FUgly notch). So those Chinese models are becoming worse with each successor not just at OP (or OPPO).
Coupled with the fact that Google is crippling Android more and more so that eventually it'll become nothing more than a drab featureless IOS-clone. I begin to see why soo many tech-savvy people want unlocked bootloaders and custom ROMs. I truly hope somebody else comes along with a proper enthousiast-level smartphone OS.

To be honest, it's rare to see such sellers selling very old batteries for very old models these days. Heck, I didn't even used my Galaxy S3 anymore because finding a legit battery for it is a long quest!
Just buy the new 3310 if you do business calls. :)
AnonD-632062, 19 Sep 2018OnePlus prices are increasing by the year.
The removal of the 3.5 mm jack (in addition to ... moreImagine that the Poco F1 had OIS too?
That would have been the death of OP6
I hope that the next Poco F2 has IR-blaster, OIS, NFC and a better screen not necessarily AMOLed (withouth light bleed like the current one).
At a slightly increased price. I wouldn't mind paying 450 euro for even a current F1 with IR-blaster and OIS, a so called F1 Pro model ;-)
Released in May, apparently 4 months is the new long term.
As far as long term reviews go, 2 year old Oneplus 3s and 3Ts are having their front panels detach on their own due to glue ageing.
Also, a smattering of Oneplus 6 users report the back glass cracking from keeping the device in their pockets. The volume key is a known weak point for the glass from multiple case studies.
Stopped reading after: " ...Sadly, Android Pie has also apparently made call recording much more complicated (if not outright impossible), so this feature will likely be phased out on all current and upcoming phones...."
Call recording is essential to me thus this means no more Androids for me.
This means I'll have to resort to a second daily phone (with Symbian or older Android version) to do my (business) calls.
Does anyone know where I can get a battery for an old Nokia 808 Pureview?
AnonD-632062, 19 Sep 2018OnePlus prices are increasing by the year. The removal of the 3.5 mm jack (in addition to ... moreYou're right. Oneplus' value for money proposition ended with the 5. From then onward it's been downhill.
Man, the 6T removed the long time favourite feature of their customers: headphone jack. That's sad to here, since the Pocophone F1 has a bigger battery and stereo speakers without removing it.
Oh well, OP6 is a great buy for stock lovers who want flagship performance for the budget(?) price...
Please do a comparo of the similarly price flagships like LG G7, OP 6, Mi 8, Honor 10, S8 to provide a better picture. This article looks like there is nothing amiss with the phone !
Gourav, 19 Sep 2018Really? I have a OP2 since 3 long years now and I haven't faced any single issue so far, that ... moreits not a theory, it's a fact in my close friends and family that have one plus products.
one plus X dropped from 20 cm height broke the glass. my cousin never bought another oneplus after that.
one plus 2, dropped from 50 cm, back never closed again. bought one plus 5 happy with it but sometimes he cries about software bugs or heat problems.
one plus 5 (another friend), camera doesn't focus properly. Seeing his son videos is pain to watch.
both one plus 5 have same age than mine Htc u11. mine still looks new (0 scratches in all device), theirs looks they have 5 years old. they both have front and back protectors/case. I've a slim silicone back cover nothing more. I use it and abuse it every day since i build apps for a living and i test my apps on it every day.
Taking pictures on same parties, dinners, etc. All mine pictures looked better. Screen quality were on pair. Sound was better on mine also not to mention the earphones
WoW! For gsmarena the oneplus screen is very good and very accurate
and unless you have really amazing eyesight, it's unlikely you'll be able to see individual pixels.
I must have an uncluttered view I notice the sharpness of an oled pentile to an oled rgb
