Kaloyan, 26 Sep 2018It's the notch approach, not the notch itself -as said in the review. Do you see the Essential... moreThe reviewer says that Android copied the notch from Apple, it didnt the PH-1 was an android phone and was the first phone with a notch, so the rest of Android then copied the PH-1 not Apple as Apple didnt start the notch...
Duel, 27 Sep 2018Nice to see honest ex android user! Yes android is like windows PC no matter what you do it's ... moreThis is a big lie . Apple even slow down the device intentionally . Even gsmarena reported it .
Duel, 27 Sep 2018Nice to see honest ex android user! Yes android is like windows PC no matter what you do it's ... moreActually yes. My android phones are like my old model, dual core i3 PC. Still as fast and as reliable as ever. Purchased with licensed Windows 7 software bundled. My PC never slowed down and actually improved dramatically after the free update to windows 10, and it kept on improving with each major windows 10 update even up to present. It's the same with my current and previous android phones. Sure they weren't updated after a year or two but the updates never made them slow like what Apple did to older iPhones. If your windows PC has slowed down, you probably have cracked/pirated/unlicensed software installed (cracked Microsoft Windows, cracked Microsoft Office, Photoshop, etc), or have lots of torrent apps/downloads that are infested with malware/spyware hogging the memory waiting to record your password keystrokes.
Duel, 27 Sep 2018Nice to see honest ex android user! Yes android is like windows PC no matter what you do it's ... moreNot really. After every new iOS version, iPhone gets a little bit slower, forcing you to upgrade in a couple of years. As far as slowing if Android is concerned, I am using a mid range Redmi note 4 for the last 18 months with it's internal memory almost full, still it works like a charm. Don't believe everything you dream up, that's not the reality.
Realistic1, 27 Sep 2018I wish I could believe you. My last 2 phones were Android flagships and they did have issues.
... moreNice to see honest ex android user! Yes android is like windows PC no matter what you do it's getting slower and slower and after sometime you just need to install windows again if you want it to be fast.
This just doesn't happen with iPhone thanks to sand boxed apps and games, they don't affect the core OS so they can't slow down the device, no matter what you do iPhone always works as you just bought it yesterday. That's a big part why so many likes their iPhone and Apple devices.
Poor iPhone cannot record 4K HDR. Then again Apple will advertise that it can be used to record movies.
MKV, 27 Sep 2018" The whole Android market just copied Apple's notched approach and now the scene is overwhelm... moreIt may not be the first to bring it but it is the one who made others believe it is the best thing to do and became a rage with no added value. Sheep mentality? These Chinese brands are hell bent on copying whatever Apple does, whether good or bad.
" The whole Android market just copied Apple's notched approach and now the scene is overwhelmed with such phones. " Really ? Do you think Apple X was first mobile with notch on this planet ???
imRGZ, 26 Sep 2018Yeah, i do accept Android isn't as fluid as iOS but also don't accept that it's as laggy as so... moreI wish I could believe you. My last 2 phones were Android flagships and they did have issues.
Every Android will lag sooner or later, and will slow down. It's constant battle with cleaning data, cache or whatever. Only people who I know that they use Android and actually have no lag are the ones who rooted their devices and put custom ROMS and whatnot.
One girl I knew was and still is hardcore Huawei fan and she talked me into getting P20 Pro which was just disappointment. Unnatural colours on their "best camera", phone was slow at some apps, did funky stuff on Snapchat once while I just had it a week, and then shattered from single drop. So much of Huawei flagship...
Anonymous, 27 Sep 2018So, the almighty A12 can't record HDR 10 like SD845?That's just the beginning of a long list of inabilities from the jack of all trades A12!
Cost to manufacture=400$
Only a nutjob would look for pros(none whatsoever) to buy this sh**t!
The objective Guy, 26 Sep 2018Funny you mention that, Instagram opens faster on most flagship Androids than on the iPhone X.... moreInstagram opens and then doesn't let me swipe or do anything despite the fact that I'm desperatley trying to do something, and then when I tap "back" it suddenly works again. And I will not even go into Snapchat lags or delay when just opening gallery or phone app.
No matter how you rationalize it, Android will always do funky things here and there.
Anonymous, 26 Sep 2018In day to day usage, 80% of the time is spent in stand-by and in that mode it does not matter ... moreIPhones always been great in stand by, so If you use stand by lot iPhone will definately give you two days, i get average two days from X
Poorly poorly battery... and they want to be at the same level with the BEAST SAM 🤣🤣🤣
I just bought a fantastic laptop, Lenovo Yoga C930, for the same money as it would cost me to buy this phone, far better value for my money!
Over all, its a Great Phone! No doubt about it.
Its just sad that the company is just too greedy. Simple as that.
sylverandice, 26 Sep 2018We have to agree on disagreeing😊 I have been using my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for 5 years no... moreSure, iOS is not restrictive as long as you do things the APPLE WAY. I can never live with a phone that I cannot truly make my own. The iPhone is like an expensive, luxury brand RTW (ready-to-wear, ready made) clothing. The quality is very good, you can choose sizes, and color, and that's all. Android, on the other hand is custom tailored clothing made by you, by your favorite next door tailoring shop, and yes, even by your preferred high end clothing designer if you'd rather want to splurge.
Anonymous, 26 Sep 2018I got an iPhone for the user experience and for iOS; after being an android fanatic for many y... moreYou mean prestige and personal image is not the main reason? Seriously? I doubt that unless, as I mentioned, all you do in your iPhone is post Facebook photos, watch YouTube, play Candy crush and call and text, in which case, any flagship android phone will be a vastly smoother, faster, and overall a much better user experience than an iPhone.
Same. But different. And yet, MOSTLY the same. That's what the "s" stand for. That or speed.
Only hardcore Apple fans bring out the enthusiasm. The rest of the world is getting tired of Apple or expensive smartphones altogether where most people only need it for social media. Why keep paying so much for incremental upgrades when most only use it for simpler tasks?
That's why smartphone sales haven't grown. There was already a decline last year. And by the 2020's, it will never reach its peak like it did a couple years ago. People will move onto something else. Only YouTube tech hipsters want to keep the excitement relevant to put money in their pockets.
