Nokia made it, and of course a second company is a very good idea minding the Nokia past. They need a protecttion to test the waters. If it goes down, well, just the name hmd goes down, this way nokia is not highly affected and also, it's name stays put. As for this device. Read the article before complaining. 7.1 is the successor of nokia 7. A device that never got out of China. This devices were tough for china. People asked for them a lot, and that is why they come out under other names. Anyways. The 7 plus is a whole other story, so don't just throw the rock beforeyou actually understand what you're talking about.

LG G6 still at 299 euros or under and still better than this "chinese HMD phone using Nokia name, only pay royalities to Finnish Nokia"
Well, even Xiaomi Mi A2 performs better with better SoC and cheaper by 150 euros already so...this is a no go, no one deserve it.
Even tho is a "Nokia" phone (for who belive is still the same Nokia, im not hater but, men i have eyes to se what i know about, and idio*s think this is the old Nokia, NO IT ISNT)

Nokia7.1+ is going to be successor of 7+

I'm glad that didn't wait for and bought 7plus instead. Bigger displei, battery, storagel, faster processor, better camera, aluminum body and all this for the same price.

This phone is obviously NOT an upgrade for the Nokia 7 Plus. It doesn't add anything. The camera department shows a downgrade for those of us looking for telephoto. Those 5 Mp BW sensors are not among my favorites… when you know how to take a picture, it doesn't really help. Of course most of us are really bad photographers, so for the average consumer is a good thing. For me is just meh.
Of course this is a better Nokia 6.1, just a little better than the 6.1 plus.
And then the rumor mill will continue to talk about the 7.1 plus and the 9, that at this point in time, is more like a Cycloped Unicorn, than an actual phone.
It's geting booooriiiinggggg.

Get rid of the notch Nokia. Apple created a trend and people are already moving to teardrop so notches are going out of fashion already.

What's the point about launching a phone so similar to 6.1 Plus and worse than 7 Plus? Probably they will launch a 7.1 Plus expensive like $450.
