TL:DR - the iPhone XR is just an upgraded iPhone 8 with a slightly bigger screen, 1 GB more of RAM and slightly faster new SoC.

It's a disappointing review. GSMA seems to take a neutral stance when it comes to big wigs... please call a spade a spade.
The device doesn't seems to have been put through paces (tests). Only the benchmark tests that can be easily rigged (recall how badly the iPhoneX lost on real time speed test to OnePlus few months ago). Apple is not doing any favors by charging a bomb for its products, partly justified (as an entrepreneur) but there are compromises everywhere.
Don't belittle the good work you have been doing

Note7 owner, 24 Oct 2018It's always amazing to see so much interest in a phone that everyone here claims to be crappy... But of course, why not? Watching iSheep shelling out $749 for a jurassic phone that can't even expand storage with micro sd card, that doesn't even have a full HD screen, doesn't have a headphone jack, doesn't have manual camera controls or dual cameras, doesn't have dual sim outside China, doesn't have huge 4000mAh battery, can't transfer files to and from PC seamlessly, cannot customize the horribly cluttered screen layout/appearance, cannot wirelessly screen share without buying an overpriced Apple TV accessory, and charges you lots of $$$'s for basic accessories (fast charger) that should have been included given the obscene pricing for such a cheaply constructed product, is sure bound to get so much attention and interest.
Really, it's like your neighbor's dog pooping rainbow colored poop one day (iPhone launching date). Nobody sane is going to buy the rainbow colored poop in 6 color variations, but many will be interested to see anyway what the fuss is all about those enthusiastic Apple sheep buying rainbow colored poop for $749 in six new color variants.

Only SOME phone specific headphones are using USB-C and even rarer Lightning.. Phones are not the only audio devices in this world.. Please expand your mind..
2/3. Notch is just a temporary solution.. It has pros and cons against mechanical moving camera of VIVO/OPPO.. Notch is WORSE in terms of aesthetic.. Retractable camera is more secure as it can't be used to record unknowingly by apps
4. The keywords are RELIABILITY and OPTION.. Fingerprints are more reliable than Face scanning and to some more convenient to use.. People should be given options not forced to use whatever the inferior choice the manufacturer selected..
5. Apple SOC is great no doubt but the QC misses NOTHING in day to day usage
LASTLY, calling out others Luddites while you yourself OPPOSE the fast charging technology?? TOPKEK Look deeply into yourself in the mirror before speaking next time.
Fast Charging technology of today has negligible effects on the battery.. Please wake up to 2018..
