When ever playing any music on the phone, or on YouTube, the phone vibrates a LOTT on the musics beats...its not nice to hold the phone when playing music, also the brightness is extremely dull and dim unless the bar is kept at max, at when the brightness is good.,

NoJack, 04 Nov 2018No headphone jack? no buy! Thanks for easily narrowing down my choices.it says type - C to 3.5 mm jack. You can still connect your common headset using type C cable and in the other end is 3.5mm connector

OnePlus 6T secondary lens is useless. This time they have to provide at least wide angle lens or telephoto.

Only God knows the strategy of OnePlus.

Now This phone was over-priced, but in 1 or 2 month or so, price somewhat reduces to how much it should cost. But note, these smartphones don’t just cost more because some arrogant company wants to loot you and earn lots of money.

For example, how do you defend Apple for taking the 3.5mm jack from the iPad pro? For 150 to 200 dollars more?

Whats up with Frequency Response on Audio Quality test?

OP6T is improved in every other test on audio quality, but Frequency Response is totally different from OP6 :/ so that mean it's hardcore altered, and nothing like natural.

I've been using Glance Screen/Always On Display since 5 years ago and it always worked flawlessly. I was using notification LEDs prior to this, but those cannot compete with the extended usefulness of this AMOLED feature.
This never drew more than 3-5% power on any of my phones over the course of 24h.

Anonymous, 31 Oct 2018Notification LED is too limited and provides less functionality than wait for it Glance ... moreI can't believe the huge misconception about OLED screens amongst most people.

Most people mistakenly think that only non-black pixels draw power on OLED screens. Actually nothing is farther from the truth.

When at least one pixel is lit, the display driver circuit along with a part of the GPU need to be powered on, drawing huge power compared to when the screen is completely black. So that's why only 2 manufacturers (Samsung and LG) provide this true, efficient always-on displays while dozens of others (including OnePlus) with OLED screens do not provide this feature. Only Samsung and LG designed their display driver circuits for always-on display efficiency.

So please, before praising OLED as a successful replacement for the notification LED, do your research.

Glance Screen (or Always On Display - as android manufacturers call it)

It shows actually useful details about your notifications, time and date, calendar appointments, and so on. That's the beauty of OLED screens. Using Always On Display draws about 2-5% battery over a 24h period.

A much better productivity feature than any notification LED can ever offer.

Again, notification LED = old tech. Outdated. We have much, much better things right now.

                              Good review I suppose.
Not sure how makers nowadays are getting away with selling the tech they put out with price hikes. Actually I do know...;)

The Chipset to me seem to be the only upgrades lately with slight innovation. We all know the round about cost of QC boards... Prices keep climbing though, because supply and demand...

My Lumia 950 XL's (3 years old) display panel hits around 700 nits max and is still one of the most color accurate panels. Samsung's panels began hitting upwards to 1000 nits around 2017. How can you guys say that 450 nits on an OLED panel is really good? I won't touch a phone unless it can get to around 600 nits or higher because of my personal choice. No headphone jack, not even stereo speakers. If you remove the jack put the stereo speakers in man. The LED is gone. Well then add an always on display option by default. Just seems like another money making idea...

The biggest phones of today are more compact than it.

Anonymous, 31 Oct 2018Wow! O.O Audio jacks IR blaster Notification LED Just. Wow! Do you also want a floppy ... moreLack of a notification LED is a huge issue, the presence of such a LED ensures that you will be more productive, avoiding compulsively checking your phone every few minutes for notifications (and this cannot be solved by any useless "ambient mode" feature which requires you to tap/raise on the phone - how do you do this if you are one meter away ?).

There is a reason why Samsung Galaxy S8 and S9 have huge notification LEDs. It's because those are not used only by teenagers, like the iPhones, but by actual working-class people.

OnePlus got it completely wrong on this one. Sales will show.
