FIY there are newer and much better solutions to replace this old tech. Not even gonna bother mentioning them, for it looks like you are one of those people stuck in the past, who can't adopt/understand new tech.

Best phone out there for the price. everyone is talking about xiaomi and they are full of bugs, hardware is cheap... only the price is better. in long term normally people change to another one. Just saying.

So I'll explain it carefully.
A phone with a jack also has bluetooth. So IF you want to use a BT-headphone you can. In theory you can even use dongle and have 3 headphones connected (1 BT+ 2 via jacks). Funny that no one ever tried that.
An most importantly. A phone that cost MORE should have more, not LESS. More battery power, more performance but also more connectivity options.
Hell, for 1000 bucks I want 2 audio-jacks, 4000mAh battery, IR-blaster, best wifi, latest BT, best screen, most acurate GPS reception, loudest speaker preferably Stereo, usb type C with 3.1 speed, usb-otg and fastest SoC. Oh.. I forgot the RGB-notification led.

This, assuming you have a normal BMI. If you have a very high BMI, you could carry a 12" tablet in your front pocket and it would barely be visible.

Lg G7 ThinQ is also a great option. It has that ip rating and military grade proofing too and a better camera (to say).

We love the jack because we don't have to think of recharging our "futuristic" earphones while sacrificing the sound quality that most Audiophiles know better.

If you don't notice that, there is something wrong with your auditory system. And what is the use off that, you might ask. Gaming? videos? Or anything that has to be real time?
